Alabama-Huntsville and Army look to be locks to make the field, but Princeton and Colorado College return strong squads from last year's epic failures.
Miami might be a surprise Futile 4 team, and Penn State still looks to be a year or two away from contending for the middle of the Big 6.

Boy this is tough. CC has the lead for the nchc but you never know what team could fall...WMU? There's gotta be another ECAC team that could struggle...I'm not sure who that team would be
tUMD Hockey
"And there is a banana running around the DECC." "Well you don't see that every day..."
I know it's early, but if the season ended today the B1G would have FOUR teams in the field.
That's 2/3 of their conference...not even Atlantic Hockey ever dominated the BFB like that.
Time to break up the B1G.
Hard to believe that this thread fell all the way to the third page. So, after this past weekend, Bucky still hanging in there vying with NU Hounds and RPI for a #1 regional seed, trying to catch Huntsville, Lake Inferior State, and Niagara Falls, who have a lock on the other three #1's. But, as they say, a lot can happen between now and season's end.

RPI now out for sweeping NC; others still very much in.
Ferris State is trying really hard to come in as an upset, but CJ Motte might just single-handedly keep them out. He just can't seem to bring his level of play down to the egregiously bad level his teammates have set.

With four wins, Ferris (Motte) has played themselves out of any hope for the Futile Four this season. Wisco remains only team without a point, so still in lead. NU now has one point, but still without win, so still in contention. Niagara now has a win, and Huntsville a win and two ties, but for now they round out the four leaders. With only four games played, but with only one point, Cornell showing potential to break in.
