I've been hearing the same thing. Followed up asking what about only having 7 D for next year, was told we have some "studs" coming in.

Maybe a deal has been made with Gordon Bombay to bring in Fulton Reed and Dean Portman, who knows?

Slightly surprised by this, Elie Montero leaves to take over the head coaching job for SNHU's women's soccer team. I know he went to school there, but moving down a division still surprises me. Best of luck to him.

Two sources say Hockey East has finalized its 12-team playoff. All 12 teams will qualify. First round will be best-of-3, just like QF round.

To clarify, teams 1-4 will get first-round byes. 5-8 host 9-12 in first-round series which will be best-of-3.

Well looks like we're adding a couple more games to the schedule next year.

Man is this the worst idea ever. Make the 22 regular season games mean something and drop the bottom 4 teams.

hockey east's 2014-15 regular season scheduled to end on feb. 28. First round is weekend of 3/7. Qf weekend of 3/14. Garden 3/21 & 3/22.

Colorado College just announced their schedule and Lowell is not included in it.
