These teams were fit to be tied tonight. Lots of good action. Credit to Lyon of Yale who was great for them in net tonight.

3-3 final. Good end to end action. Thanks to QU for streaming the game on YouTube.

    3-2 Yale after 2.
Yale scores three straight after Q took 2-0 lead midway through period.
Quinn outshooting 27-15 although quality scoring chances similar. Yale's size showing better, powerplay needs work.

From the Yale perspective, we come into this game as we always seem to be doing early in the year- searching for our identity.
Having watched the first couple games this team is somewhat different than our teams in past several years. We are much bigger, probably a little bit deeper, and at the same time not quite as fast or successful on relentless forecheck, and also presently lack that #1 line that easily stands up to (if not dominates) every other team in the country.

We certainly miss Andrew Miller's presence- what he brought last year I think was under appreciated. That said, this team has immense potential and a 2-1-1 start is something to build off of. Quinnipiac on the other hand from a distance appears to be flying high again. I heard that one of your top freshman has since left for pros, but based on how you have started the season, I would expect another hard fought game- and am looking forward to this new scoreboard you are all raving about.

See you this weekend up on the hill!
He actually left for major junior hockey in the WHL with the Brandon Wheat Kings but is a Columbus daft pick. It's a tough loss since he was a top line guy the first four games before getting sidelined with an ankle injury and then bolting. Should be a good one tonight in Hamden as I am making the drive down for this one.

Can't be there but hopefully Yale can take down the QU juggernaut, tough task.
