A few people are asking if the game is being streamed. It does not sound like it will be.
Should have been on one of the main college hockey channels, as a big first game. Alas, that's not happening.

Wish I could be there to the opening game of the season. Does UM stream this game ? I have been to Yost once when it was GLI time of the season and just looked around. I saw the photos from the 1998 team when UM beat BC on OT.

The teams come off of opposite exhibition starts, BC won, Michigan lost.
On Michigan's game- lots of effort, decent speed, no slow downs, but bad puck handling (which is pretty common at this point) and some bad shooting lead to one fluky goal, and was not enough to make up for waterloo's 2 oppotune goals. Both of them were good- a defensive breakdown and a great rebound led to #1, and a defensive breakdown lead to a 4-1 chance and #2. No flukes at all.
The power play moved the puck well, but didn't get too many good shots off. Peanlty kill was ok, but wasn't as decisive as one would hope at times.
We still had issues just getting a basic clear, so if BC can jump on that they will get some good chances.
Michigan has a lot of freshman coming in- and may even start one between the pipes (again). The lines started to show some gelling later in the game last night- so it's not as if we are totally distraught.
Hope it's a fun game- BC really brings a lot out in the crowd, which is fun!
On one hand these are great games to start off with. On the other hand, they haven't had much time to practice together under the staff with NCAA restrictions so it would not be a surprise to see sloppy play from both sides but I bet we see a great one as each team will have a solid few practices this week in preparation.
That last game BC had at Yost was a great one. Ferriero's tying goal was a thing of beauty but it was wasted once Bertram cleared a puck off his own teammate into the net in overtime.
