Laliberte has a separated shoulder. We do not yet know if he will play.

When the team is in meltdown mode, my strategy pays dividends. It's a great hedge, despite the host's commentary. Of course, if the team does well, the strategy backfires.

    RPI: Brock Higgs
    Yale: Alex Lyon

    RPI: Mike Zalewski
    Brown: Tyler Steel

Link back to the title post with details on scoring

After this weekend, RPI will have finally played every other team in the ECAC at least once. Going on WaP's "3 at home, 2 on the road" strategy, the Engineers are just two points behind schedule, but they've already blown their chance against their travel partner and making up those additional two points in just four weekends won't be easy. Not to mention that there's a huge logjam at the top of the standings which could very well bump up the actual line for the bye.

Yale comes in having split each of their past three weekends (losing on Friday on each of them...), having not earned more than 2 points in an ECAC weekend since Nov 8th / 9th and just two points ahead of RPI.

Brown has also split each of their past three weekends (losing on Saturday on each of them...) and tied with RPI in the standings (but they have less ties, so they win the tiebreaker for now).

You may not choose the following players for this game:
RPI - Ryan Haggerty NOR Chris Bradley
Yale - Kenny Agostino NOR Gus Young
Brown - Mark Maclerio NOR Dennis Robertson

    Statistics / Rosters:
    Rensselaer: Statistics | Roster
Yale: Statistics | Roster | KYE (beware of C. / S. Wilson confusion)
Brown: Statistics | Roster | KYE

Re: RPI Pick to Click 2013-14: Revenge of the Nerds

Congratulations to Ralph (again) and FlagDUDE! They both earned eight points this weekend to win the bonus point. This is Ralph's third consecutive win and FlagDUDE's second win. FlagDUDE's previous win came during the pair at Mercyhurst.

Friday night, Clarkson shut down (and shutout) RPI. Kevin Tansey (cnor) scored the third goal for the Knights on a delayed HFB by Bokenfohr, making him the most valuable skater on the night. Their goalie, Steve Perry (FlagDUDE... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!) did play all 60 minutes he wasn't headed to the bench for a delayed penalty, so he did earn 5 PtC points.

Saturday, the Engineers came back and helped solidify themselves into 8th with a win in Canton. Mike Zalewski (FlagDUDE and rsfs04) was the most valuable eligible Engineer, scoring and assisting in the 1st period for 3 PtC points. Haggerty had two goals and assisted on Zalewski's tally, but has run away with the scoring title this season, so you couldn't have chosen him. Justin Baker (lugnut and Ralph) was the most valuable Saint, scoring once and assisting on SLU's other two goals for 7 PtC points.

Ralph's stretched his lead to 9, lugnut's got a 6-point lead on MavHockey, and there's another 7 points between 3rd and 4th. Good luck to each of lugnut, MavHockey, and TuteScrooge as they try and bridge those gigantic gaps. hawthr and viz joined me in the scoreless column. It was hawthr's second weekend without a point while it was the third for viz and myself. Literally the only changes in overall rank were FlagDUDE and hawthr flipping for 8th and 10th and RPI fan 4 life passing the idle RKarger. FlagDUDE has been rocketing up the standings as he was all the way back in 14th heading into Christmas break. There are just four regular season weekends. Good luck everyone.
