You mean regional champs? You need 2 vs. Q, 2 at Placid, and 4 in the NCAAs to be that other kind of champ.

Yale was dominated by a superior team last night, they seemed to be a step behind from the outset and were outplayed in the corners and in front iof the net, leaving Lyon out to dry on numerous goals. Do or die tonight.

The unregenerate fan in me wants to say we now have all of college hockey where we want them: 6 straight wins and we're champs again. The realist now points out that we're .500 in games that weren't against Princeton and Harvard, and other than Colgate, don't have a single quality win all year. But I'll be there tonight. If it ends, we can still salute the end of the college careers of Root, Agostino, and Young; 3 guys who were critical to last years' triumph.

Pretty disapointing game last night. Season looks to be coming to end pretty quickly! I just dont think they match up well with QU this year.
It was nice to see Doherty back on the ice in the 2nd period, that looked to be a pretty scary situation when they took him off the ice in the first.

How can that game be a sellout all week leading up to game one and then have so many empty seats? And there were even plenty of spots along the rails. In the middle of the second period there more people on the basketball side then standing on the hockey side.

Gonna be a fun weekend of local hockey. Pundits on the above survey are overwhelming picking QU to win. This will be the first time this season that QU has faced a fully healthy Yale team. As always with these games you never know what will happen.

The first Liberty Invitational this season at the Prudential Center included Princeton, Brown, Dartmouth and Yale. Hockey East teams will join the Tigers and Bulldogs over the next three seasons.
2014: Princeton, Yale, UConn, Merrimack
2015: Princeton, Yale, Maine, UMass
2016: Princeton, Yale, Lowell, Vermont
