Coming soon to a campus near you, a brand spanking new hockey rink, fit for a D-1 team!

The ball is definitely rolling as far as the rink is concerned. In conversations with students and more importantly administrators, we've found the support is 100% there, we just have to give the whole project a little "push". We're currently drafting a petition to present to the Student Government and in turn the board to give them hard evidence that the want for a rink is there. The goal is 2017! "If you build it, they will come!"

I think Dan just blew out a lung with that goal call.

Timeout turned it around. That is a sign of effective coaching.

              Fact.

I was actually ludicrously punchy by the time gametime rolled around because I was up at 530 for work and was on the tailend of a LONG day. No voice in the 3rd period made it so much more gravelly. I sucked back a coffee in anticipation of a long OT... yeah. Thanks guys.

On the bright side I'm not sleeping tonight.

Tomorrow's going to be great and intense.

Just throwing this out there, and I talked about it on the broadcast, but how great is overtime playoff hockey. And how badly does it stink at the same time?

It's probably the most intense thing, and the thrill of victory is so exhilirating, the agony of defeat is so deep. But isn't that what makes it great and awful all at the same time? You can't get this anywhere else in sports.

I would like to take us back to the no excuses beginning! It seems like years ago but it has only been since last summer. I think this team bonded in some way, shape, or form over the summer. They have had their ups and downs but they always continued to find a way to move forward. I am sure coaching is a part of their success but I see this team as trying to prove something to themselves. This team is exactly that TEAM! I don't know the locker room but I believe no one on this team is full of themselves. Good Luck tonight boys. Let's try to win this tonight so we can go to Rochester.

A dance on the razor's edge of delirium and calamity. Either result mandates a stiff drink afterword.

Live broadcasting strikes me as incredibly difficult. Combine that with a goalie named Cappobianco, and I can completely understand the call of, "SAAAVE by...... the goalie."

But, I'm still allowed to giggle.

Hope that the Falcons can find some energy for game 3 tomorrow. At least they showed that they can score goals 5 on 5. Now, they need to tighten up the D with leads; coughing up a 4-1 lead in the third period is inexcusable. Go Falcons!

Most syllable intensive name I've had in a while. I love the guy because he's gutsy, but I disclaimed in the first period I was going to start calling him "the goalie" if it struck me because it was just easier. Or just "Save" and keep it short.

I'll tell you this - I don't know how to feel. I said in the predictions from this week I picked Bentley in 3 and I'll stick with it, but here's what'll happen. They have to, absolutely have to, shut the door in the 3rd period. Canisius is a great 3rd period team, and they're like bulldogs. I think I called them a rash on the air, and I didn't mean any disrespect towards them. A rash just sticks around and annoys and pesters. You scratch the rash, eventually the itch goes away. But when that rash breaks out, goddang if it doesn't just ruin your whole day.

So Canisius is diaper rash. There, I said it.

But I said to Nate Lull after the game how exciting and thrilling this series has been. It pains me but I'll say this about the series - it's been fun. Bentley has not been the better tema, and Canisius is a battle tested playoff team. They just keep coming back. They hadn't trailed at lal in this series and they've rallied twice. This is something where Bentley needs to send a statement early and then play solid two way hockey. The heroes need to put up or shut up tomorrow on both sides, and I don't think we'll have a shortage of moments.

That said, I hate Game 3's. It's win or go home on both sides. And I've said this - if it's going to win or lose, I'd prefer a 7-0 or dominant victory for either side. I really don't want another OT game.

While I was watching the Lady Falcons on-line I kept my other eye on the score of this game. "Looks like they're taking care of business!", I said while it was 4-1.

And so here we are now.

I suppose it really ought to be tied at one, with each team winning (and losing) a game they shouldn't have.

I feel that was the end last night! The first line has really provided all the fire power no one has done much else and we need them! The defensive collapse was poor to say the least. They walked off that rink like they lost the series. Of course I will watch but I am concerned! To win others must generate offense and komm must stand on his head!
