It appears to me he is the real deal.
It's a great day to be a Seawolf!
Wonderful news. This is so good to hear! Barrett played at Maine for two years, 98-99 and 99-2000. Thomas was the assistant coach at Maine from 2000 to 2002.

    From ADN:

"According to NCAA, the (UAF) hockey team used ineligible players in every game played from the 2007-08 season to the 2010-11 season. Over that span, the wins and ties will all become losses. 4 wins and 2 ties came against rival UAA".

    UAF is 56-86-12 vs. UAA.

New coach, new AD (soon), new direction all around. How about a new slogan? Oh, and a new mascot...

Aren't we just needy... I don't think we need a new slogan, it works.

You forgot the Fight song , change school colors, a new U A president , about 10,000 more dorms , a recreation center for 20.000 students , 3 or 4 parking garages and if have money left over a ice arena.

UAF made the kind of hockey history on October 10th 2015 that no team wants to claim – the Nanooks became the first NCAA Division I victim of Arizona State.

Yea, don't want to ask for TOO much... After 30 years of watching the Woofies through the highs and lows, I'd be very happy with some bigger numbers in the W column.

Unfortunately, I'll be watching from afar from here on out 'cuz I'm moving out of state just before the season starts. Hope they go nuts this year and light it up, but my pre-season optimism has been dashed so many times recently, I try not to get too excited this early anymore.

Yeah I'm the same way. I'm excited for them but I'm not getting my hopes up for a quick turnaround.
