I suppose that's what happens when you get all of these college-to-be kids looking to play in top quality amateur leagues.

Probably just because it's the playoffs? Too bad the league doesn't consider that.

Not sure how long I'll be listening into this one, given there's free hockey.

I think that you are correct, it's mainly because it's the playoffs.

That's one of the disparages about the playoffs, and it's not just the BCHL, but all leagues in general. It's the league that determines everything, not the school. I'm not sure when you have to determine pricing, but I would do it based upon the teams that have the most home games, and try to do an average pricing based upon the regular season.

On Saturday, the Alberni Valley Bulldogs lost to to the Surrey Eagles 3-2 in overtime. Evan Tironese had two goals (1 SHG) and a tripping penalty. ET didn't get a star. They trail in the best of seven playoff series 2-0. http://www.bchl.ca/leagues/hockey_bo...0101&link=bchl

Tironese's line is now 12-4-8-12-22.

Actually, I did figure it out eventually, but it isn't particularly relevant since his concern was probably that the ECAC controlled the video for its playoffs and did not therefore allow RPI-TV to stream video for free. The BCHL did not charge for its audio causing it apparently to be swamped. (I had no problem listening however. I also thought that Alberni's announcer was quite good.)

BTW, Evan Tironese got a lot of ice time in this game. His name seemed to come up constantly. He'll be an important addition, perhaps replacing Higgs, in 2014.
