Getting goals disallowed is getting his game ready?

I am looking forward to seeing hom JD does next year, but I suspect that he won't play regularly as a freshman, or probably as a soph either. There is just too much returning talent at forward the next two years, but we do seem to need all the depth that we have.

Or, he'll be a pleasant surprise and really earn his ice time out there.

We know that Wood, Reno, and Melanson are receiving scholarships, as that's why you would sign a NLI. Any thoughts as to who the other scholarship kids are?

not really RB. I met Chris on his visit on a Sat. night last year....the next afternoon (Sun.) I was at the HFH watching a CD Selects game & Chris came out of the Men's lockeroom, saw me & came over to say hi and introduced me to Soron.

You cstill can sign them even if you aren't on scholarship. I would be quite surprised if Bourbonnais wasn't on scholarship. Several are probably on partials, perhaps with other aid. The only one coming next year who I would bet isn't on a scholarship is Soffer.

To be honest, I wonder if we were interested in Soron. At the time, we probably didn't have room for this year, at least with significant money.

Same here. If anything, more captains means a bigger test for Coach Appert, and at least based upon this year's happenings, he's seemed to answer the call. How many of these kids have extra letters on the front of the jersey?

If we have all these captains, then how come there were no assistant captains this year?

Must be a mistake in context... I meant the kids coming in all had C or A when they were in juniors.

Reno, of course. I don't think any of those in the USHL have them, but Lincoln's site doesn't appear to have a list. So I think that Reno is the only one for next year.

Tironese has an A. No idea about Manley or Fornaris. Prapavessis probably not since he joined the team late.

Sometimes too many cooks spoil the broth. Teamwork often times benefits when there is only one or two voices raised up to lead.

On Wednesday, the Omaha Lancers defeated the Tri-City Storm 4-3 (2-1) in a shootout. Drew Melanson had no points or penalties, but he scored the winning goal in the shootout. He was named #3 star. http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.co...gameid=1978309

Melanson's line is now 52-12-15-27-4.
