I hope this years puck isn't as horrible as last years. Looking at all the past pucks, 2012 is definitely crap compared to the rest

I'm planning on making the trip. Which hotels are near the X (walking/stumbling distance) and any recommendations?

        Thanks much in advance.

They are all booked up and you would be lucky to find one this late in the game. If you can't find one downtown, a good second option is the LivInn Suites in Oakdale. It is only like $60 a night and you can use the money you save by not staying downtown to take a cab back and forth. It is about a 10 minute drive. I have done that before. Not too bad if you can't get anything downtown.

I'd call and see if they get any cancelations after the first round. Have to believe that they always have some after teams are eliminated.

                A. The schools who have a lot of fans at the F5 (UND/MN) have no chance of losing first round.
                B. Most hotels make you pay beforehand and it is non-refundable.

Let's put it this way, I booked my room last June or so, because I pretty much needed to.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

I will definitely miss this tournament. Three mornings of my favorite game. I like to call it "Where am I?"

Thanks for the information and pleasant response. I figured as much but wanted to ask. I'll find a room, there are always rooms.
                      Thanks again.

You have about as much of a chance as DL getting laid that weekend if you're looking to buy from the ticket office. Depending upon the teams playing in the title game, your luck will vary for scalper tickets.

I went to buy a pair of 5-game passes and couldn't find any available in the entire rink last month.
