      Fs23,

I think that you can remove 47 vs. 82 from that list.

Play at the Eagle River rink and make them skate counter clockwise to lift the fog in the dome.

                    #30 - 1988-1989 Michigan State Spartans vs. #99 - 1975-1976 Michigan Tech Huskies
                    May 21, 2013
                    Honda Center - Anaheim, CA

                    Game Update Post

Both squads are skating around for warmups. Michigan State is wearing their whites, while the Huskies from Michigan Tech are donning black and gold. The officiating crew is from Hockey East, and I just spoke with coaches on both sides. Spartan Assistant George Gwozdecky told me that State will start Jason Muzzatti in net tonight. Huskie head coach John MacInnes confirmed that Bruce Horsch will get the nod for Michigan Tech. Should be an exciting game! Puck set to drop in just under 10 minutes...

Introductions are over, and here comes today's singer of the national anthem...Bobby McFerrin.

Nobody should worry, but be happy with that rendition of our nation's anthem.

                    Puck set to drop momentarily...

                    1st Period:
                    - Puck has dropped and we're underway from Anaheim!
                    - What a play by Mike Zuke! Zuke strips the puck from State defensemen Chris Luongo at center ice, skates around Steve Beadle at the blueline, and has a semi-break on Muzzatti. Muzzatti makes a tremendous kicksave on Zuke's shot from inside the far circle, and the Spartans are then able to clear. 18:30 left in the 1st.
                    - A lot of end to end action here early, but neither side generating any great chances. 17:00 left in the 1st.
                    - Dana Decker is leveled at center ice! Decker was coming up the near side boards and dumped the puck into the zone, but just as he dumped the puck, Don Gibson laid a tremendous body check to flatten the Huskie forward. 16:00 left in the 1st.
                    - What a save by Horsch! Rob Brind'Amour gets the puck in the slot after Peter White found the streaking winger. Brind'Amour lets fly a bomb from about 20 feet, but Horsch gets the glove up in the nick of time to deflect the puck over the net to keep this game scoreless. 14:30 left in the 1st.
                    - The Spartans third line was giving Michigan Tech fits, and they draw the first penalty of the game as Dwayne Norris was tripped at the blueline by Steve Letzgus. 13:38 left in the 1st.
                    - And the Huskies kill off the penalty in routine fashion, limiting Michigan State to zero shots on goal. Just over 11:00 left in the 1st.
                    - Now the Spartans will head back to the powerplay. This time, Bobby Reynolds had a step on Warren Young and attempted to get to the slot when Young tripped up the State forward. 10:47 left in the 1st. Still 0-0
                    - Once again the Huskies stymie the Spartan powerplay, as Horsch stopped the only shot on goal, a long attempt from the blueline by Steve Beadle. Still scoreless with about 8:00 left in the 1st.
                    - George Lyle hits the post! The Huskies were flying after the back to back penalty kills, and Mike Zuke found George Lyle on a backdoor pass that Lyle lifted over a sliding Muzzatti, but the puck hit the crossbar. Still 0-0 with just over 6:00 left in the 1st.
                    - The Huskies are abuzz! Stu Oslund had the puck behind the State net, and tried to come out in front, but he was held by Jim Cummins, and drew the penalty. Michigan Tech now on the powerplay with just over 5:00 left in the 1st.
                    - Uh oh! Michigan Tech will have nearly 90 seconds of 5x3 after Brad Hamilton gets called for tripping. Ron Mason is furious.
                    - Stu Oslund Scores!! With just a few seconds remaining in the two man advantage, Oslund wins an offensive zone draw back to Ed Dempsey. Dempsey rifles a slapshot from just outside the far circle, and Muzzatti gets a piece of it, but Oslund snatches the rebound, skates to the near post and roofs the puck past a diving Muzzatti. Tech up 1-0 with just 3:24 to play, and still has 38 seconds of a 5x4 left.
                    - Michigan State kills the remaining Tech powerplay.
                    - Now Michigan State will head back to the powerplay. Mike Zuke was trying to win a puck behind the net, and got his stick caught up between the skates of Brad Hamilton. Hamilton spilled to the ice, and Zuke goes over to serve his penalty. 1:31 left in the 1st. 1-0 Tech.
                    - Tech clears the puck out of its zone, and that's the end of the first. Tech up 1-0, but State still has 29 seconds left of powerplay.
                    - Shots on goal in the first: Tech - 9, State - 7

                    2nd Period:
                    - Puck has dropped for the second period with Michigan State still on the powerplay.
                    - Michigan Tech kills the remaining 29 seconds, and we're back to full strength. 1-0 Tech
                    - Not a lot going on right now, as neither side willing to give an inch...lots of back and forth in the neutral zone...
                    - Now Michigan State will head back to the powerplay. Jim Mayer trips up a hard-charging Rob Brind'Amour at the blueline, and Mayer gets called for Interference. 16:29 left in the 2nd.
                    - Kip Miller Scores!! Tic-Tac-Toe! Steve Beadle finds Bobby Reynolds at the near circle. Reynolds then finds a streaking Miller at the far post, and the backdoor pass works to perfection as Miller slams the puck in the back of the net. 1-1 game with 14:50 left in the 2nd.
                    - Michigan State really pouring it on right now, but so far Horsch is up to the task. Miller had another tremendous opportunity from the near circle to give State the lead, but Horsch was able to make a tremendous glove save to keep it tied at one. 12:30 left in the 2nd.
                    - Danton Cole Scores!! What a goal! Cole is able to strip the puck away from Dave Joelson in the neutral zone, and comes up the ice on a 2x1 with Brind'Amour. Cole feeds the puck to Brind'Amour at the top of the circle, and Brind'Amour sends it back to Cole at the near circle. Cole doesn't hesitate and fires it over Horsch's blocker and into the top of the net to put Michigan State up 2-1. 11:13 remaining in the 2nd.
                    - Michigan Tech takes their timeout. Momentum was all State after that second goal.
                    - Michigan Tech playing significantly better following the timeout, but neither side able to generate much in their respective offensive zone.
                    - Tech will head back to the powerplay, as Shawn Heaphy gets called for charging. 7:47 left in the 2nd. 2-1 State.
                    - State kills the penalty, as Tech was limited to just one shot from the top of the far circle. 5:00 left in the 2nd.
                    - Following a long spate of neutral zone play, Michigan Tech starts to cycle in the Spartan zone, finally drawing a penalty on Chris Luongo for holding, as Mike Zuke was trying to attempt a wraparound, when Luongo basically tackled him. 2:51 left in the 2nd. 2-1 State.
                    - Michigan Tech unable to get anything going in the Spartan zone on the powerplay, generating zero shots on goal as Sparty killed the powerplay off.
                    - That's the end of the 2nd period. Michigan State leads 2-1.
                    - Shots on goal in the 2nd: State - 10, Tech - 8

                    3rd Period:
                    - Puck has dropped for the third period...Michigan State up 2-1.
                    - Michigan State will head to the powerplay early as Ed Dempsey gets called for interference just over 90 seconds into the period.
                    - Tech does a tremendous job of killing off the penalty, limiting State to zero shots on goal.
                    - It's all Michigan Tech right now, and Muzzatti is coming up with timely saves and limiting rebounds. 16:00 left in the 3rd.
                    - Michigan Tech has the slight edge in play right now, but a lot of puck possession in the neutral zone as State is doing a tremendous job at winning battles to the puck in their own end.
                    - Now Michigan Tech will head to the powerplay after Stu Younger gets tripped at the blueline by Kerry Russell. 13:18 left in the 3rd.
                    - Michigan State kills off the penalty, but Mike Zuke had another great chance from the slot, but fired a wrister right into the belly of Muzzatti. We're under 11:00 in the 3rd.
                    - Tech back to the powerplay, as Pat Murray gets called for slashing. Tech is 1-5 with the man advantage today. 9:50 left in the 3rd.
                    - And State kills the penalty. Tech had another great chance as Zuke found Jim Mayer at the far circle near the end of the powerplay, but Mayer's shot was gloved by Muzzatti. 7:30 left in the 3rd.
                    - What a save by Horsch! Steve Letzgus tries to pinch at the blueline and Brind'Amour pokes the puck past him and has a clear break. Brind'Amour tries a forehand-backhand-forehand deke, but Horsch stays on top of it, and gets his leg out just in time to keep this game at 2-1. 6:00 left in the 3rd.
                    - Tech gets another chance with the man advantage! This time, Mike Zuke is crushed after the whistle by Don Gibson, who gets called for 2:00 roughing. Zuke was down for quite some time following that hit, and he's not out on the ice to start the powerplay. 4:39 left in the 3rd.
                    - George Lyle hits the post!! With time ticking down on the Husky powerplay, Lyle gets the puck at the top of the near circle, and fires an innocent wrister that Muzzatti doesn't see. The puck harmlessly hits the far post, and State clears the zone, killing the remainder of the powerplay. 2:30 left in the 3rd, State up 2-1.
                    - Michigan Tech has pulled their goalie. 1:15 left in the third.
                    - Peter White Scores!! Michigan Tech was in firm control of the puck, but a cross-ice pass just misses Lyle's outstretched stick, and winds up on the blade of Peter White. White is able to gain center ice, and dumps the puck down and into the net. 3-1 Michigan State with just 41 seconds remaining.
                    - And there goes the horn! Michigan State advances to take on the 1988-1989 Harvard Crimson in the Second Round thanks to a 3-1 victory over the 1975-1976 Michigan Tech Huskies.
                    - Final Shots on goal: Michigan Tech - 31, Michigan State - 25

I'll randomly select a game if nobody voices a preference. If there are suggestions, I will pick the one that receives the most support.

How 'bout NOT #29 vs. #100? I'm not sure Lanny Gare is completely healthy yet, and Dick has a LOT of strategizing to do if he hopes to pull this one out! With any luck, the computer will at least start the right goalie this time

The "computer" almost always selects the goalie that received the majority of the minutes during the season.
