I went out to The Ralph for the BC series 6-7 years ago. The Sioux were short a player who had a game DQ for fighting in the previous game. I was appalled to see the fight shown on the big screen 3-4 times during the game and the fans cheering each time.

I say, clean up your own house first and the rest of the world will take care of itself.

Andy Schneider...he beat the * out of that Canadian.

And as was mentioned...Schneider squared off with him. There's fighting, then there's the crap Marvin pulled. As I mentioned earlier though, SIM's response here is a gross overreaction, which he does a lot. Some might think this was a fishing expedition.

(The idea that the Gopher football team can become a Big Ten contender makes me laugh)

If you are going to give me negative rep at least have the balls to say who you are.

Fact of the matter is this is a college hockey message board and not A football thread.

Players being severely injured.

Meaningless suspensions.

Poor sportsmanship on display nearly every night.

This behavior and attitude is not tolerated in any other NCAA sport.

Why is it tolerated for hockey?

It is time to clean up the game.

Want to fight? First offense - 5 game suspension. Second offense - season-long suspension.

Checking from behind or intent to injure? First offense - 5 game suspension or twice as long as the injured player is unable to play, whichever is longer. Second offense - season-long suspension.

Start penalizing the tom-foolery that happens after nearly every whistle when the goaltender freezes the puck.

As a Sioux fan, it is inexcusable what happened to Bina a few years ago, to LaPoint after that and now Genoway. And that is just my team.

Did you ever think it was just the karma coming back to UND for putting such a bunch of goons on the ice to begin with. That's was definitely my first thought, these things are happening because the other teams players are tired of UND being such a bunch of thugs. Heck, even your own fans beat each other up in the parking lot after almost every game, and some UND player always needs to be bailed out of jail.

I have seen checking from behind called in instances that definitely don't warrant a game misconduct, let alone a 5 game suspension. When you give mandatory call instructions to referees, you can't give such severe penalties as this. Sometimes players take quick turns, and you see a really bad checking from behind penalty. Slamming the offending player for 5 games is extreme.

It is time to clean house in college hockey. Judging by some of the neantherdahls on the board, the fans need to be weeded out as well. Sadists have no place in society.

The game of hockey is a beautiful thing to behold; superior skating, stickhandling, intricate passing, pin-point shooting. There is NO room for thuggery. There is room for legitimate body checking.

Suspend the thugs for 5 games and the game will miraculously be much more enjoyable to watch and much safer to play.

All you X-game, MMA hockey thugs can start your own league. Perhaps Dave Schulz, Derek Boogard and Charles Manson can be your league executives.

Why is fighting an accepted and expected part of college hockey when it is not accepted in other college sports? Last Friday's UW hockey game against Alaska-Anchorage was loaded with fighting. After watching it, I decided not to watch the Saturday night game. [other stuff]
