Wicked-we have no doubts about him. Our only concerns were simple-he played on a high school team that just was so far above the competition most nights that it was hard to really judge him against the opposition. Our second minor concern was size-but he has added some weight to the frame we first saw a couple of years ago. He is quick, he is fast, he sees the ice well, he seems to find his linemates with passes right on the tape. A lot will of course depend on his surrounding cast-but he is going to be a good one to watch in Troy.

He still looks quite thin, but I feel that he made a wise move from the development standpoint on going to the USHL. I didn't see Melanson in HS like you did, but watching Reno on TV, he is getting better competition.

On Thursday, the Cedar Rapids Roughriders lost to the Chicago Steel 6-5 in overtime. Riley Bourbonnais had a head contact penalty and also served a bench penalty. http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.co...gameid=1977998

On Thursday, the Cedar Rapids Roughriders lost to the Chicago Steel 6-5 in overtime. Riley Bourbonnais had a head contact penalty and also served a bench penalty. http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.co...gameid=1977998

Bourbonnais' line is now 17-7-9-16-8.

The bench penalty was apparently a too many men penalty ......but did not call it until Riley skated in on a breakaway and scored. After CR was celebrating the refs waived it off. It was a beautiful forehand, backhand, forehand move.

Riley has never played the PK in his two years in CR so I would assume it would carry over to RPI.

Not surprised here-what else could you call scholarship money that does not have to be repaid? I received payment to attend RPI-otherwise my folks could never have afforded the tuition and room and board.
