Ralph, would it be possible to add the commitment date of a recruit to the spreadsheet? This way it would be fun to track the success of a recruit based on the date (eg, are we getting good semi-blue chip recruits early or are the coaches recruiting late bloomers?)

I am too lazy to try to find articles that mention the dates that the women committed. I'll due it for next season.

I assume no Bourbonnais in the list? Or have you not been actively checking that name because we're fairly confident he's a 2013'er?

I have been checking, and he is not there. Of course, Bradley, Miller, and Zalewski showed up a year ago, so it wouldn't mean much if he was there.

Wouldn't they only put a student in the directory if their application was in? Granted, player-who-must-not-be-named was also in the directory.

They probably have completed the application process when they're added but delayed entering RPI. (for obvious hockey reasons) A friend of mine applied to Brandeis senior year of high school and got in normally and then delayed entering for a year so he could go to a professional circus program. I think that's a pretty standard practice if you've got a decent reason and committing to the hockey team but not being ready to arrive yet is definitely a good reason. No reason to delay applying once you're done with SATs and everything, especially if you've committed to the program already.

Nope, he's actually studying physics. Goes well with the aerial arts actually, I think.

That's my opinion too. It means that there application is complete and they have passed admissions. It wouldn't mean anything as far as the NCAA is concerned. SA probably asked those three to go through admssions last year because they might have been needed. i would think that it would be the case with Bourbonnais now too.
