Thanks. They must have changed that after the game. It will be reflected in Sunday's summary.

On Sunday, the Delbarton School defeated Notre Dame 8-0 in the quarterfinals of the NJSIAA Tournament (Non-Public Division). Drew Melanson had no points. http://highschoolsports.nj.com/game/score/1252701/

                Melanson's line is now 25-17-40-57-x.

Another rout judging by the score and 55-6 SOGs. Notre Dame was 22-2-2 going into the game, but that didn't help. I hope that DrD didn't waste his time there.

Edit: I was informed that Melanson did not play.

Another rout judging by the score and 55-6 SOGs. Notre Dame was 22-2-2 going into the game, but that didn't help. I hope that DrD didn't waste his time there.
Nope-thought about it-but wasted our time in Brick watching them lose in an upset. Are you sure Melanson played today? I won't know until tomorrow when i make a few calls.

Interesting because Baicco only had 1 assist (2nd period).
Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

Turk-Delbarton coach is a very smart cookie. He has to play perhaps 2 more games in another 2-3 days. I think he sat Melanson and Biacco either most if not all of the game. He played Melnick and the Agostino's with Otterman and his veteran defenseman Davis. I knew Notre Dame came in something like 22-2 but the disparity between Delbarton and everyone else is hard to describe unless you see it. I would love to see them play teams that are nationally ranked from Minnesota or Michigan. Not saying they would beat these top teams-but at least i could get a much better idea of what we have with Melanson and what Yale has with Biacco.

That's what I thought Doc. In an 8-0 blowout to not see DM on the scoresheet & Baicco w/1a I kinda thought they didn't play or played very little. Didn't they play 1 or 2 teams from Minn. last year?

They have won the State Prep Tournament i think 4 years running. Years ago the Prep champ played the public champ-which i would love to see started again. Each year, Delbarton just seems to reload again after losing a few players but his year they not only have talent, they have depth. The Notre Dame coach summed it up after the game saying he has not seen a team with this much size, speed, and the ability to just keep throwing 4 lines at you along with a stingy defense that mkaes few if any mistakes backed up by a first rate goaltender. I am not sure how many will be leaving at the end of this year but it looks like they already have the replacements either on the bench or on the JV team which also has overwhelmed their opponents.
"They are awesome," said Notre Dame coach Andrew Ducko. "They were the first team we played where you really see no weakness. All their lines and defensemen are outstanding and for us it was a great opportunity to play Delbarton. They are at another caliber."
