DrD, or anyone else. Do you know if he played?
Not even sure he made the trip but will find out. Their younger players like Josh Melnick and Chad Otterman did all the scoring. I am not sure if either is committed anywhere but both are worth a look. I believe Otterman is a 2014 graduate as is Melnick. Otterman is a big boy-at least 2 inches taller than me and Melnick is smaller than Laliberte. Both have been impressive every time we saw them. This was a game that I expected Delbarton to just overwhelm them-same thing tonight against another Connecticut team. They really should not be any competition for them.

USHR added Fridays game to his line, so I assume he was in the lineup. The line you currently have for him matches the one on their website. I believe Delbartons next game is tomorrow vs Bergen Catholic in the Gordon Cup playoffs.

USHR also updated some results for Gunnery. On Wednesday, Gunnery lost to South Kent Prep 5-2. Jake Wood had no points. On Saturday, Gunnery defeated Albany Academy 3-0. Jake Wood had an assist.

Woods line should now be 21-9-19-28-x

This is what i have so far-

                      Gordon Cup
                      Play-in round

Thursday – No. 9 Bishop Eustace vs. No. 8 Bergen Catholic, 6:45(Bergen Catholic won 4-0)

Saturday – No. 10 Pope John vs. No. 7 Seton Hall Prep, 3:45 (Pope John won 3-1)
                      Quarterfinals
                      Monday — BC/BE winner(Bergen Catholic) vs. No. 1 Delbarton
Sunday – 6:15, SHP/PJ(PJ winner) winner vs. No. 2 Don Bosco,
No. 6 Gloucester Catholic vs. No 3 Christian Brothers
No. 5 St. Augustine’s vs. No. 4 St. Peter’s Prep

                      Semifinals
                      Feb. 23 –

                      Finals
Feb. 25 – South Mountain Arena

I am told Melanson did indeed make the trip to Connecticut-but cannot find out if he played much if at all. He certainly played yesterday at home (4 point game). We expect to see some if not all of the Gordon Cup games played today and tomorrow. It has been extremely difficult to judge this team and the players since most of the games we have seen have been blowouts and the scores do not even remotely reflect how one sided the play has been. Delbarton is just so far above the other NJ Prep schools although Don Bosco on a good night can be a challenge for them. I would like to see them against one or two of the top public schools.

Saw a couple Bergen games last year and one this year that whole Catholic School/ Prep School league is a mess a few good teams, a few not so bad teams and some really bad teams. Hard to evaluate anyone.
