The USHL futures draft is tomorrow, Charles Manley is the only known RPI recruit eligible to be selected being a '96. (Drew Melanson was selected in last years futures draft by the Omaha Lancers in the 3rd round).

Manley was taken in the third round by the Waterloo Black Hawks.

I also see CH has a new recruit listed, looks like he could be good one....

Fourth on the team in scoring and by far the youngest player on the team. Think I agree with your assessment!

Skating ability: Above average
Shooting ability: Above average
Passing ability: Above average
Weakness: Undersized
Intangibles: Speedy forward who can score.
Stats: In 52 total games this season, Tironese had 21 goals (five on the power play), 22 assists and 56 penalty minutes for the Argos.
Potential: While he is not the biggest player in his class (5’8), Tironese brings a lot to the table. He can skate well, make accurate passes and has an under rated shot. In addition, he’s not afraid to mix it up in the corners when called upon. At the same time, his size is an issue for some scouts. All in all, if Tironese keeps improving, he has the ability to prove the doubters wrong.

Its possible but probably unlikely that he could be in Waterloo next season if he performs well enough at the Hawks preseason camps and assuming they have some open roster spots on the blueline.

They must have liked what they saw from Manley at the USHL combine this past weekend in Chicago, probably were they did that interview.

I agree that it is unlikely that he will be in Waterloo next season as he is still young.

I believe Tironese led the BCHL in scoring for 95's this past season, while being on what seemed to be a relatively weak Alberni Valley team. Im looking forward to see how he develops over the next couple years.

Alberni Valley was the team that Nolan Graham coached before coming to RPI and also where Jonny Rogic played. I suspect that both played a large part in his committing to RPI even though any previous connection was probably small.
