All joking, ranting, and commenting aside for a minute on where Lowell is going for the tournament, I had one thought this morning when I woke up. We are going to see UMass-Lowell show up in an NCAA Selection Show as a participant and not as a comment about how close we were to getting into the dance or how we were "jobbed" in a championship game. This season is as surreal as it gets...heading to the SportsZone now. Time to have fun.

As much as I enjoy a pint or sixteen ... after last year, are we really complaining that we'd have to stay local (ie not pay $500+ for flights) and play in the NCAA Tournament?

What's more upsetting is there isn't a reasonably stable place near the arena to start drinking... Beers at 11, shots at noon, and we work over at 1:30... at least that's what'd happen in a rational world. Who the hell chooses Bridgeport for a regional?

That is indeed a problem.

Not to jump ahead, but the first Bridgeport game being at 3 on a Friday is most upsetting.

If in BDR, take Amtrak from Union Station direct to Bridgeport. Arena is across the street and would be the most direct route.

BDR? I'm not sure I want to train from DC... but I'll explore all options.

It's a joke from FORTRAN 77 on a DEC VAX system. In 1996, I took a class in FORTRAN 77 as part of my meteorological degree requirements and ironically, it was a last time Lowell made the NCAA. To this day, large amounts of meteorological based programs are still written in a form of FORTRAN.

Call it a hunch and if the program is correct, is UML Theory #532.

work is the same way... we're changing that.

Then again, from what I hear, fortran still works perfectly well... its just that nobody really codes in it anymore. Most of the reasons work is changing around is because the methods that were used were developed the same time that LaBamba as popular
