Re: Realignment Rumors
Originally posted by ecbrevik View PostI would say that a truly premier program would, at a minimum:
1) have multiple national titles
2) be in contention for league and national titles in most years and/or over multiple decades
3) have top-notch facilities and serious money behind the program
There may be other criteria others would add. But these criteria would apply to schools like BC, BU, UND, Michigan, DU, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
At this point in time, I would consider Miami and Notre Dame to be strong programs, but not premier.

Wouldnt that mean the Commish of the WCHA would be leaving since he is based out of Denver?
Where would the McNaughton Cup go? What about MTU and UMD? These teams should be invited to the new league.
The McNaughton Cup remains the property of MTU and would go where MTU goes.

Originally posted by Runninwiththedogs View PostYou seem incredulous about charging for club hockey. It's not that shocking. I went to UIUC and I had season tickets for the club team. They were $40. But it's not weird or abnormal for club teams to charge.
