And Jackson has two. Six Final Fours, and Five finals appearances. With him at ND (and their new facility) it's not a matter of if, but when.

Iowa State also charged when I was there. Not a lot, but they did charge.

They can't find out until they win a NC. It's like a secret club, you only know what your next step is.

I would say that a truly premier program would, at a minimum:
                  1) have multiple national titles
                  2) be in contention for league and national titles in most years and/or over multiple decades
                  3) have top-notch facilities and serious money behind the program

There may be other criteria others would add. But these criteria would apply to schools like BC, BU, UND, Michigan, DU, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

At this point in time, I would consider Miami and Notre Dame to be strong programs, but not premier.

Where would the McNaughton Cup go? What about MTU and UMD? These teams should be invited to the new league.
The teams that are left would keep the WCHA and CCHA names, as the other schools would be leaving those conferences.

The McNaughton Cup remains the property of MTU and would go where MTU goes.

And to think, everyone said it would come from us winning an NCAA game.

So, about St. Cloud. If St. Cloud loses its conference affiliation with UND, would your school refuse to play them? I thought St. Cloud's administration was anti-nickname, but am not certain if they have the same ALLEGED stance that UMTC and UW SUPPOSEDLY have but CONVENIENTLY ignore (i.e. UW and UND playing in basketball.)

Actually that is the reason! Shortly after you won a NCAA game, PSU gets their 88 million dollar donation, rumors of the BTHC swirl and here we are today!

And I'll admit that its a subjective call. I have my opinion, others are certainly entitled to theirs.
