Don't forget UVM. I would trade all future Norwich and Middlebury titles to see UVM win a title in my life. Some of my first memories were watching Tim Thomas play net at the Gut and I have told my girlfriend that if we ever get hitched it can't be during the playoffs because if UVM is in the finals, I am skipping the wedding. Best part is she gets it.

Re: Programs Starving for a Title

From the tone of the discussion it looks like the topic should be deserving of a title, not starving for a title. If starving is the case then I'll bring up my team, Ohio State. Since joining the CCHA in '72 which was the conference's inaugural season which Ohio State won, the best since then they've done is making the Frozen Four in '98 which was a cinderella team appearance and winning the conference playoff title in '04, the most memorable event of that night besides hoisting the Mason Cup was having the funkmeister, Rick James join the teams party that night! Unlike the schools with long and vaunted history of hockey OSU's program has only been around since '63 and most felt that it could have rose to prominence if only a coaching change was done years ago instead of a year ago. Now that we have Coach Osiecki and his recent hire of Joe Exter we may have a genuine shot of building a competitive program. The facilities are top notch and having an NHL franchise in town doesn't hurt recruiting either. Time will tell here but I feel we're in the best position ever to advance and be a consistant performing team at a high level which we'll have to be when the moronic Big Ten Conference starts with regular season games against Wisconsin and Minnisota and of course our traditional rivals of Michigan State & Michigan.
