I guess I am just agreeing in detail.

Yup, if he played with anything resembling what we are seeing on the ice this playoffs those numbers would have been considerably larger. Nobody has ever doubted his talent. If he would have hit a guy in college from time to time and shown that grit he would have been a much better college player.

Did I miss any other Hockey East guys who are playing well?

Edit: Totally forgot about Martin St. Louis (UVM). Hope jcarter isn't offended lol
Torrey Mitchell (UVM) is also playing for the sharks, Howard (ME) in net for detroit, and actually there is a whole slew of ME players in TB. Also Ferriro (BC?) playing for the sharkes.... HE is well represented for the Stanley Cup. Not sure, but my guess is it's guaranteed at least 1 HE alumni that comes with the cup this year.

Nashville's only Hockey East guy is Colin Wilson, who's been a healthy scratch this playoffs. Every other team in the playoffs has at least one Hockey East guy playing regularly.

Huh? Let see - one of da biggest guy da ice, one of da fastest guys on da ice, wif sick hands et a lazure shot wif a litening releese.

Most improved- UVM - Can't believe I am agreeing with you here but it easier to improve more when you're in the bottom third of the league.

Biggest Fall- Maine- Whitehead is still the coach and Nyquist is gone. This team would shock me if they weren't 6 or worse in the league.

Biggest Surprise- Jcarter admits his love for Jack Parker and how much he idolizes him

Biggest Lock- Vermont's leading scorer quits the team...again.

                      HE finals- BU vs. BC

BC- scrape into the NCAA's as a four seed and proceed to beat a one seed to reverse the fortunes from this year. Then get killed in the regional final.

BU- beats UVM three times along with a beanpot and HE tournament win on the way to a FF appearance in Tampa

Maine- the fans kidnap Whitehead to prevent him from coaching the team any longer after another underachieveing season

UMA- Mike Pereira becomes an HE all conference performer but the Minutemen still remain in the bottom half of the conference

UML- Bring in Micky Ward on a nightly basis to give motivational speeches and they get out of the cellar because of it.

MC- Dennehy starts lining up other jobs after he discovers life without Da Costa. Tries to report more violation on Cronin so he can have his job

UNH- Umile starts throwing the fish on the ice himself and finds a way to get this team homeice in the HE tournament

NU- Saponari teaches the whole team how to party like a puckstar and drink the night before games...they "almost" win a Beanpot again

PC- Average an 50 fan increase per game on the season goes on and the team improves but still only have 1,500 in the seats at the end of the season

UVM- miss the NCAA tournament and home ice in HE as the team chooses to have hippy parties where they sit around smoke and eat cabot cheese
nice job, your creativity is improving.

Jacques- I kind of get what you're saying (let's face it- no one actually understands all of what you say), but it was pretty evident to anyone who watched JVR at UNH that he didn't always give it 100%. You definitely saw flashes of brilliance and it was clear that he had the talent to be great, but he didn't bring that every shift. I remember some of the games I watched him, I just thought to myself that he wasn't backchecking very much and wasn't being as aggressive as he could be offensively. Warsofsky was like that these past two seasons, too. Obviously Warsofsky isn't as talented as JVR, but it's the same idea- you know it's there; he just doesn't always show it.

Not any more. He'll be in the lineup tonight for the injured Steve Sullivan, who will likely miss at least the rest of this round.

Awesome news for Wilson. Strange that he couldn't crack the lineup until now. I guess he was in the same boat as Seguin with the B's in that he was about the 9th or 10th best forward and they didn't feel like he could play a 4th line grinder role in the playoffs.

it was odd that he was in the lineup through the end of the season then got taken out for the playoffs.

Well with 4 points in his last 20games after 30 in his fist 60, the coaches probably were looking for someone with a bit better scoring record. Not to mention he was in the line up but was playing 6-7-8 min a game. It's not like he was playing 17 min / game and then got taken out.

Just saying...I don't think it was all that surprising.
