      Today is 18 April 2011. There are 166 days until RPI's next game.


      This is based upon 1 October for the start of next season.

      That is the day that an exhibition game is supposedly scheduled.

          FWIW, saw this posted on the CCT message board:

          This was alluded to by Chris Lerch (RIT & USCHO Editor) on Thursday's Frozen Four blog.

          Chris mentioned that he heard @ the rink (LL Commish IIRC) that there are exploratory talks about forming a Liberty Hockey League.

          The teams would be current (and soon to be) Liberty League teams, CCT, SLU, RPI, UC, and RIT. To make the 6th team to get the AQ, add Colgate.

              Maybe we should try to get Colorado College in instead of Colgate. All D-III league! You're off if you think I'm serious.

              If this actually were to happen, though, I would not be surprised to see RIT become a premium game. There was quite a large crowd for a non-conference game with an Atlantic team. Especially given another sport happening with a team Coach jokingly wondered who they were.

                    That is going to make for some interesting changes in the league next year.

                            Most schools would be happy with 2 NCAA appearances in 8 years and an almost .500 overall record considering what he inherited.
