maybe he has to wonder about BC getting sent packing while they earned a number 1 seed.... and UNH is the host at a rink where they would lose to the Junior Monarchs.

I understand that UNH has a more interested fan base and would certainly buy more seats at any rink in New England than BC fans, but shouldn't it mean more being the top seed than "we get to put our sticks down last on center ice face offs"?

Actually, it's not that much of a mystery, and has little/nothing to do with the fanbase, but it's been hashed and re-hashed and re-re-hashed numerous times since Sunday already, so why don't we just move on?

Life isn't fair BC can bid on a regional though but I guess the NIT is more important to them.

I didn't know the Monarchs were playing in the regional but I do know Maine isn't Sorry I couldn't resist

Can you please explain it a few more times?

No players on Maine's team have ever played in an NCAA regional.

I guess we should feel some sympathy for them...... but oh wait it's Maine They're too busy complaining about their coach as if anybody gives a rats arse.

Of course, when BC got a 1 seed in the NIT, the school sent them on the road

The guy who blames UNH's lack of a national title on aquatic vertebrates and coach's garment of choice is trying to talk logic? Rich.

After sweeping the season series against the varsity program why do you think we'd lose to the UMaine JV team?

The JV team is better - they haven't been coached by Whitehead yet.

Well... it is March... and Umile is still behind the bench. Right?

Hey, UNH has won 2 more games the last 2 years in the NCAA's than East Houghton U. has even played the last 4.

Has anyone heard if they are going to put single day tickets on sale?

I have to imagine the home bench doesn't change, but the home team does. Miami was the higher seed against BSU, but lower against BU (I'm not 100% sure on that, but my guess is that's the case).
Like I said the home bench did change. But since Miami and BU were expected to advance from each of their games as their own home teams, they never had to change benches that weekend. I'd presume the same goes this weekend also. Can't recall on Fort Wayne last year but I'll try to find a pic to see if Michigan used two different benches, which I highly doubt.

The whole thing about BC 'sent packing' is silly. They are a team (among very few) that could go to any rink on the planet and win.

The curiosity to me isn't where they are playing...it's when. I thought the #1 seed gets the early game (in other words, more time to rest before the next day's game).

Yale is playing the first day late game in the East Regional, too. Very strange. In Yale's case Bridgeport is close to campus so it could be for the Yale crowd to arrive.

BC playing late seems very odd. I don't see waiting on the CC and BC crowd to fly in across the country.

North Dakota and Miami are both the early games on Saturday.
