Re: #1 Boston College vs. #4 Merrimack - HEA Championship - 3/19
Great game tonight. Good job Mack... now I'm rooting for you in the NCAA's (until we meet again).
The Eagles just keep bringing it. Whitney/Gibbons/Atkinson refuse to lose. They are clutch when they have to be. Atkinsons one timer was an NHL BOMB... man that shot had some mustard on it. Not sure Cannata ever saw it.
Mack students.. some words of wisdom:
Never, ever, ever chant... "Over Rated"... 5 minutes into a game, with the score 0-0. This is especially relevant when your playing the defending Hockey East and National Champions, and double especially relevant when that team wants to kick your azz for payback for beating them 2 games to 1 in the regular season.
You're rookies at this playoff stuff, so you get a pass. But don't ever let that happen again if you want your team to have a chance of coming out on the right side of the scoreboard.
You're welcome.

Yeah, let me just call up the NCAA and put a bid in. Like what the ****? I have no say in it. If it were up to me BC would be hosting ever 2 years in the Northeast and the Frozen Four every 5 or 6. Guess what though? It's not up to me, I don't know enough people to change anything about it.
Once again, I am hardly whining about the rule. I understand it and accept it. I'm whining about the fact that because your team is so bad I can't go see my team play without paying a large chunk of change. Thanks for playing, now run along.
Does the BC AD have any say in this? Hockey is their sport and we don't even have a radio station to listen to the games. GDF is a useless AD.

I assure you your team isn't whining like a (VERY SELECT) few of their fans are. Championship teams win wherever they go, and I expect BC will do the same in St. Louis.
That's why BC often starts their seasons with road-trips out of the conference (this year to Denver for two and Notre Dame for one). This gets the team ready to play wherever they have to play.
BC can play in Timbuktu, for all I care; they are in the tournament and will be a #1 seed no matter where they go.

BC will never host an NCAA game because our AD is too busy making sure we can schedule those crucial out of conference football games vs Kent State.
sad but true.................i would bet the mortgage that he wasn't even in the same area code as the Gahden tonight. what ever, he's missing this incredible run. good going GDF. BC Hockey, the gift that keeps giving

He was probably watching that embarrassing show by our hoops team. What a beating they took today, glad I didn't go as I ended watching that game on TV.

I actually sat behind him last year at the Hockey East finals. So I am sure he probabl showed up again this year...but he is still a terrible AD.

I thought they did that to avoid fog-outs?

Terrific game. Muse once again comes up big in a "hat and t-shirt" game. MC had chances, but you have to bury them (ouch, Cucci just missing on the pp tap in), and you simply cannot make a turnover or leave a juicy rebound for the Eagles. Atkinson's shot would have had a vapor trail in the old televised NHL games. What a freakin' laser. Dumolin is outstanding.
They got the all tourney team right (Flanigan had quite the playoffs). Clean, hard hitting, well officiated game. A pleasure to have been there. Best of luck to both teams.

Didn't get to stay, so can I ask who was on the All-Tourny team?
