Mather is down and probably out the rest of the game.

Rodriguez scores more big goals than any other Laker in recent history.

Hare was terrific - can't say that enough! The only goal he gave up was a let down by the defense in front.

Amherst is a very good hockey team. Late in the game they looked fresher, were winning the loose puck battles, and seemed to want it more. Their forecheck was relentless. Hare stood up to the test though and the Lakers took advantage on the transition. Overall it was a great game to watch, hats off to the Lakers for finding a way to pick themselves up after giving up a late one. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Regardless, Oswego played much better that period, but that last goal felt like Karma coming back to bite them. Right now SNC is hoping this game goes as long as possible.
in the Norwich game that would have been a pen, the jeffs are very good at hooking etc, as I said what about Mather getting submarined????? NBD...were on to tomorrow night...yes the Jeffs are awesome for sure, scary forecheck and rarely out of postion, well coached for sure, and they never stopped skating, they won most of the battles

Gary Fulsas worked his magic and got him back out there. Gary still looks like he is 25, must be that corn-fed Iowa blood in him.

Oh my GOD what a game! I almost had a heartattack....but there was no way we were going to be denied three years in a row. That was one of the finest, most patient, prettiest goals I think I have ever seen since watching the Lakers. SOMEBODY BUY THAT MAN A CAR!

LETS GO WIN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

From my angle up here, Mather got steamrolled right in the chest.

I loved the way Amherst played: aggressive forecheck, strong skating, good defensive zone positioning, and filtering the puck to the half boards. I think the lack of size and top-end skill is what held them back in the offensive zone. They didn't have someone who could out-muscle and finish against the Lakers defense.
