Clarkson up 2-0 in Providence in the first. Brown looks pitiful, which is not surprising, because we only show up when we are extreme underdogs. Annoying.

At last a "nationally televised" game on a network, I actually get! Coach Shaffer surprisingly upbeat in "Coaches' Corner." He says team has really been working hard in practice. Again, he mentioned that the team so wants to win before the home crowd that it may be counter-productive in getting that result. Go Big Red!
      . . . still crazy after all these years. . .

QU 3 - Harvard 1 @ the end of first. Game is broadcast on NESN. Game is announced as a sellout but in the early going TD Arena was showing lots of empty seats.
Unofficially, Quinnipiac had 20 SOG in the first and was pretty dominant.

          3-0 Clarkson.

Can it just be next year yet? Clearly, the current edition of the Brown hockey team has no interest in playing hockey.

SLU up 2-1 on Yale in the 2nd period. Was 1-1 after 1. Apparently the boys actually want to play hockey so far tonight instead of spectating like the past few weekends

They were pretty interested against us, tho that was a long time ago.

Like I said- if you're ranked or a big-name program, we're going to give you hell. If not, we're going to let you walk all over us. Cornell, Union, Yale, and UNH had the misfortune to be either ranked or big-name programs.

Don't worry, your medicine comes to Providence tomorrow night. If we lose by 2 I'll be happy, we NEVER EVER EVER play well at Meehan, and you guys took it to us just a couple weekends ago.

We're like the New York Giants in that regard.

As I typed that, Maclellan scored for Brown. 3-1. Hope? Perhaps.

I hope you're right, but the way we've played lately...eek.

                        Re: ECAC, Friday 2/3

Just as we get some momentum, a fight breaks out, and Brown gets penalized even though Clarkson instigated it and threw most of the punches. Momentum: gone.

I'll be shocked if SLU wins. You guys may have been playing poorly lately, but SLU hasn't been lighting it up either. We went 2.5 games without a goal up until tonight, not exactly spectacular.

We're in similar boats- until about five minutes ago, we had been outscored 12-3 in our last 2.5 games. Now it's 12-4 (huzzah!).

And, in typical SLU fashion, they can't hold a lead in the final minute. EAG by Yale with 35 seconds left. Can't even begin to count how many times we have given up game tying goals in the final minute this season, yet can never get one ourselves.
