  • Cornell @ RPI, 2/3/12 7:30pm (NBC Sports)

Late start tonight due to the TV coverage. Against Dartmouth this led to me arriving at the rink 75 minutes before puck drop and wondering why the shuttle from North Lot wasn't running. Hopefully tonight I won't do the same.

    Let's go Red!

Big weekend. We can make a statement by winning the weekend.
Last time on NBCSports, we played well and lost. Tonight we have a chance to show the nation that we can play well and win.
Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Hopefully here but may head out to watch this with some friends at a local establishment. National television audience and a chance to show everyone that our record this year is not representative of the talent we have. Go RPI! 8 games left to make some sort of statement and get ready for the playoffs.

This is one game where I may not mind if it turns out to be a special teams battle-as long as the calls are about even. I am not sure that Cornell this year is as good a special teams squad as they have been most years. They have often had a distinct advantage over us with their excellent PK and their very decent PP. This year I think we can stay with them during those situations. Our own PK has been pretty strong all season even in our poor games and it appears our PP is finally starting to play well.

That plan seems to work best with Kotyra and Murphy. Hopefully we get different mice for this one.

That 4-1 "Rennselaer" victory over Clarkson certainly was impressive.

Not promising-but we can hope they just call the game evenly for as long as possible. We usually can count on getting called for something late no matter what. But if we get a bunch of calls against us early it will put us in a very bad situation. i wonder if coach SA has any major line changes in mind?

That really doesn't surprise me. I was there on Friday night vs SLU, and those two guys were invisible. And watching on tv Saturday, neither of them made any difference.
Now they could be playing hurt, or were just out done by their teammates.
The top two lines tonight have to play with the same urgency and intensity that they showed last Friday.
