Week two is over and week three begins....just not until December 30th , and with that I decided to just get this posted and to post the updated standings. It has been a great start to the NESCAC so far in it's first year without the inter-lock and already the standings are close with the top half of the league separated by a mere 4 points. Amherst continued to excel this year with a perfect 2-0 record against some of the best in the NESCAC with one goal wins over Williams and Middlebury.
And Speaking of Middlebury, after a good start the panthers had a setback that could have placed them at the top after losing to Hamilton and Amherst. Bowdoin was able to bounce back with a good weekend with easy wins over Tufts and Connecticut College to keep close in the race. No conference games for this week but it will be a great chance for the NESCAC to get some out of conference wins where teams like Wesleyan and Hamilton have excelled. The team with the best chance to score a big upset will easily be the Camels who will take on Oswego in the Semifinals of the Pathfinder Classic, where Hamilton shocked the Lakers and the NESCAC is 3-3 in games played in the tournament (2 of those wins came against the Lakers).
Scoring:
0 pts for a loss or a tie
2 pt for a win
4 pts for a predicted tie
4 pts for GOTW win
8 pts for GOTW predicted tie
