And regarding strength of schedule, Tech does not feel bad that WI, Denver, and other "top programs" can't get their act together and win more games. tTech can only control the games they play. tHuskies played the "tough schedule" card plenty of other years to justify sub-ten win seasons so they might as well let someone else use it for a while.

tcrazytechfan is so excited about tUMD series. tctf can't wait to watch both games since tctf works at a doctor's office instead of tApplebees so tctf has weekends off!

huskyfan forgot to tell tMonster that a few weeks ago huskyfan ran into people from tGrand Valley. huskyfans (wearing their huskyfan gear) were mocked by the tGrand Valley fans. tGrand Valley people were football fans.
The Monster realized long ago that all of the winning by Grand Valley Football has made GVSU fans quite arrogant, almost to the level of say a Michigan or Minnesota hockey fan perhaps. Michigan Tech gave Grand Valley quite the scare back on all Hallow's Eve and the Monster wasn't able to talk all right for a week for all of the yelling, screaming, beytching at the refs he did at that game. The Monster has always worked hard at trying to remember to be humble, so that the Woofing Gods don't punish the Monster with a season where the Lakers don't make the playoffs.

The Monster is now kinda sad that this weekend series is now in Houghton and not in Duluth, as the Husky fans could at least pregame Saturday at the playoff football game that Saturday and pull for the GLIAC and Wayne State. The Warriors stand a good shot of making the championship game this year if they can just get past Duluth next weekend.

If tseries were at tAmsoil, does tMonster really think tTech fans would be at tMalosky? tTech fans of legal age would be at Grandma's, the less-than-legals doing whatever underage kiddies do. BPH can't remember that long ago.

Also: no one cares about football in this thread

The Monster fires back with the fact that it's usually a lot more cheaper to get drunk when one buys a case of cans and drink it out somewhere instead of ordering drinks at a bar. Also, one can cook their one meals if one brings a grill and some yummy meat products. And it makes a easy place where there can be a lot of meet and greats with everybody.

And the Monster would like to point out that this is third person Tech-UMD Week, where there's a lot of overall silliness that has little to do with hockey anyways.

huskyfan thinks we should not talk hockey til Friday. huskyfans will cheer the tUMD in football this weekend but NOT in hockey. huskyfan says tUMD dogs are Gwoz's little girls and will be gobsmacked this weekend by the awesomeness that is Coach Pearson.

Yes, but tTech fans can grill meat and drink beer any old day of the week. Besides... it's tSportsGarden! With tKamikazis! Not something that tTech fans have every day (not even tFlashy, though tFlashy really doesn't have an excuse ) Half the fun of the hockey trip is going to the local hockey/dive/cheap drink bar anyway.

Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Just funning - BPH can respect tmetal, and pretty much any genre. Weirdly, BPH just doesn't like nearly any pop music until it's been out at least 10 years.

Mhmm. tMel has intimated that Tech would continue seeing UMD, Minnesota, Wisconsin and UND, and possibly gain appearances from Michigan and Michigan State, on a yearly home/away, home/2 away or home/away/neutral rotation. No idea about other soon-to-be-former WCHA rivals, but BPH would be surprised to see Denver and CC on Tech's schedule in the age of the NaCHo.

Biddco appreciates the support for UMD football. Sounds like they will have their hands full with WSU.

Biddco knows tUMD will do a much better job than Denver to show NCHC supremacy. Biddco is expecting a split and hoping for more for UMD.

Biddco wonders when we will know FOR SURE that their will be a Friday Luncheon.

RWD would like to remind everyone that tUMD has no fear of tMel. RWD hopes tTech nerds remember that tMel was having a sad on April 9, 2011, while tUMD was doing snow angels and swearing on live television.

F2B&G thinks this is mutually beneficial for all parties involved. Tech saves money for the AK trips, and no more whining from Gwoz about traveling to Da Yoop.
