Coaches have been doing things like that forever. At princeton, for many years, the visiting team came onto the ice from one of the corners-the rubber mat to walk onto the ice always had a section missing of about 15 feet where the team had to walk on bare concrete-I am sure that did wonders for their skate blades.

I seem to recall reading in multiple places the Hayden Frye, the long-time head football coach* at the Univ of Iowa, had the walls of the visitors' locker room painted pink!

(the theory being that the color would influence the players' aggressiveness by moderating it)

      * suuposedly he was the inspiration for the Craig T. Nelson character in the TV sitcom Coach.

He threw benches on the ice and got thrown out of a lot of games?

              Weaver's article for this weekend.

No mention of Cullen or Neal's injury status.

He talks about the offensive turnaround but ladles in plenty of skepticism and caution.

Probably should go on ticket thread but doubt anyone reads it. Late decision not to go to Packers/Giants game Sunday and have 4 tix in Mezzanine if anyone is interested. Have a couple other feelers out thers so let me know by email if interested. Face value. Not looking to make anything on this. Thanks.

Perhaps also try in the Café on the NFL thread if you don't get takers here?

That was the first thing that I looked for too. I don't expect to see them.

This is Big Mike and not Fat Mike. Fat Mike is hockey's Tom Izzo.

By the way, speaking of Fat Mike, there were some who complained about the continuing use of the term after he lost a little weight... yeah, don't worry about that anymore, I saw him at the BU game.

Talking with Patty Cullen after the RIT game he said he should be fine for this weekend. A player's optimism? Didn't see Neal. If PC is ready to go who comes out? Tinordi, McGowan (who centered his line @ RIT)?
Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

In Ken Schott's weekly interview & preview with Appert (also ft. Nick Bailen) Coach says that Neal is out, for quite a while, definitely won't play before Christmas.

That has been a major concern for me. If this is indeed all ankle iinjury-then one has to think about stability of that joint. Ankle injuries can look bad at first and turn out to be very mild-but the opposite is also likely. What may have seemed originally to be a minor ankle strain/sprain may have turned out to be a nagging season long problem. Since we do not know how this happened or even what happened, I can only guess the latter situation. Let's just hope we can get him back healthy soon. He will be a great help to the offense of this team.

Haggerty not in the lineup tonight.
