Troy Grosenick has been named ECAC goalie of the week for the second time in less than a month.

    Troy Grosenick, Union College
    (Sophomore, Goaltender - Brookfield, Wisconsin)

(2GP, 2-0-0, 49SVS, 1SO, 0.50GAA) - Grosenick carried a shutout streak of 119:18 into the third period of Union's 3-1 win at Clarkson, one night after making 27 stops for the shutout in a 2-0 win at St. Lawrence. Grosenick stopped 22 of 23 shots against the Golden Knights to earn his second win of the weekend. Grosenick, who has started eight of nine games in net for Union, leads in the nation in goals-against average (1.24) and save percentage (.949), and has two shutouts in nine games this season.

Even though he gave up a goal?

Ken Schott reports that Hatch "may" play this weekend. Vasaturo could return to practice tomorrow, but he is seen as "doubtful" for the weekend.

Without Mike Ingoldsby, depth at D has become a real concern. Charlie is a big banger whose presence will be missed against a physical Brown team in particular. Matt Hatch's speed and overall play would be a big loss too. We won't back down from the challenge however.

Roger Hull may be the next mayor of Schenectady. It comes down to absentee ballots. Surprisingly, he received more than 40% of the vote.

Actually, Brown has a very good freshmen class that is fast & skilled and isn't real big. Not saying that the Bears don't still have some size and will not do a lot of banging, but things may be changing in that end of Providence. Should be two very entertaining games (or at least hoping so)..

The concern with lack of depth on the blueline is legit though. D-men tend to get nicked up and one more injury could cause problems, though I'm pretty confident that Taylor Reid could fill-in more than adequately if need be.

I've heard that Roger would still be "thrilled to finish second", especially after getting more than 40% .

We went down two weeks ago for the first time and were very disappointed that we couldn't hear the broadcast.

                  Is this typical?

                    Goalie,

Thanks for coming down - And I apologize. 2 Weeks ago there were problems with the sound system preventing it from being broadcast over the speakers. We have corrected that problem, and made sure that everyone who wants to hear it can - So next time you make it down you will not be disappointed. (Wednesday before Thanksgiving, not sure how many folks we'll get down there ) So I apologize for the problem there, and hope to see you there soon.

                    Thanks for your support!

rdf, thanks for the links. You are our official media relations guru. Big 5 days upcoming with 3 tough games. Need 3 points at least over the weekend and a point or two on Tuesday at HFH. Brown is always a problem, Yale is Yale and RPI is worrying me a lot as they will be very hungry and possibly desperate. I would not be surprised to see Stevens in goal for one of the 3, most likely tonight, but as hot as Troy is (can't he change that name? ) it will have to be a tough call for coach to sit him. We are very banged up but let's hope deep enough to get over the hurdle. Let's go U! Keep that roll going.

Hatch is in the lineup tonight, but Vasaturo is not.

Looks like Stevens starts in goal.
