Yup! 4 hour drive for me. I'll be there with 2 others and we'll definitely be ready for some loud and proud renditions of the Fight Song.

2008/anyone else - If you are going to need a place to stay, let me know and we may be able to go in on a hotel room. It's impossible to get anything in town but there are plenty of options about 20 miles out.

Good point there- it's homecoming weekend at 'Gate this weekend, so you may need to look around for rooms- I live maybe 20 miles away. Plus, as mentioned in the Colgate thread when a Miami fan asked, there's also Turning Stone Casino, maybe a 20 minute, half-hour drive up the road. Don't expect anything in Hamilton, but look at Norwich or Oneida if you're looking at rooms.

I'd hope they to see smith czarn BIGGS. I know The Hirsch doesnt play small, but even with all the scoring talent on that second line it just reminds me of the broadstreet bullies. spread some of the muscle out.
I can see Smith Czarnik and Biggs being our PP line. I think that's our best scoring combination. As far as our lines are considered, I've got a feeling Tomassoni will be moved back to the blue-line once Paulides continues to struggle. Not to mention come playoff time I'm sure the coaches will feel more comfortable with Tomassoni on the blue-line as opposed to Paulides. In that case move Mullin to to the Vogelhuber and A. Wideman line and I think we have 3 very strong lines.

Found a place to stay this weekend... at the home of the Mayor of Hamilton, New York! It's on.

Unfortunately this is probably the most likely scenario, barring a vast improvement in his play or more injuries to the forwards. It would be unfortunate for Tomassoni as well, he looked to be in pretty good form offensively this past weekend.

Fwiw, Benny played 1 game last weekend, and is still the team leader in blocked shots.

This may be true, but that doesn't make me any less nervous when he has the puck...

All the youngins had their mistakes, his being more noticeable playing on the blue line, but he didn't do too bad. I have faith. Keep tomassoni up front bench #12. Matty seems to have a good nose for the net right now.

Least we not forget Spinell averaging more PIM than TOI his freshman campaign, I exagerate, kinda. I agree on Tomassioni, need him up front right now, at least until some of the freshmen get more comftorable in the offense.

Hope everyone heading up to the games have a good trip!

On the road to Colgate. If you make it to the game, make sure you say hi! Just look for the two really loud guys in Miami gear. I'm in the #24 sweater. Go Hawks!

Granted I'm only seeing this on the stat tracker, so I don't really know what's going on at the game... but SIX penalties in the first period for Miami???

1st period observations:

It is REALLY hard to win playing 4-on-5.

Just sayin'.

Obviously, we need to stay out of the PB, but our PK is terrible!

Hard to get in a grove when you keep going shorthanded, but at full strength Colgate has carried play. The first goal was atrocious defense in front of the net by tHirsch and Weber.
