  • NESCAC Coaching Changes: Colby and Trinity

Just learned that Jim Tortorella is leaving Colby for an assistant position at UNH. A few weeks ago Dave Catorazulo, Trinity head coach, resigned to take a position with Harvard....any leads on who may be in the running for these 2 positions?

According to USHR: "As far as a possible successor to Tortorella at Colby, a likely candidate is right on campus. Stan Moore, a former Div. I head coach at Union who most recently served as an assistant on Tim Army’s staff at Providence, lives on the Colby campus, as his wife, Barbara, is dean of students there."

I wonder if they would take current AD who was also a "a former Div. I head coach at Union" & at RIT?

Dave Cataruzolo is still listed as the Trinity head coach on the Trinity website and Trinity is not advertising for a successor so this story seems more like a rumor than a fact . .

Some times things are slow - here as a current NESCAC "advertising for a successor".

                  Anything new on Colby?
... there is not even a mention of Tortorella's leaving on their website.

The Interlock ended? Why was I not informed?

All kidding aside, did either conference issue a press release?

Well, I have a sizable rumor about the state of Colby hockey for this upcoming season, but I will refrain from posting it until I have more information. I can say, however, that they may not play this season and that it's unrelated to the current lack of a head coach.
