  • Is Bruce In Town?

The WCHA Commish was coming north to Fairbanks this month. Does anyone one know if it is this week or if he is in town now?

They could just volunteer to use their fighter jets to take out the teams that bailed on the WCHA.

Wait ... Whut? Only the BHHC teams have bank accounts.

We should have been more specific, the leftovers are bankrupt in the talent department.

I'm pretty sure Bruce Cech's always in Fairbanks at this time of year.

Make sure to take him to the Silver Gulch and don't tell him it's a $17 cab ride from the host Hotel (Alpine Lodge) to downtown Fairbanks.

I hope we at least had the decency to put him up in the Westmark.

I hope he draws a good impression. UAF runs a first class program, has outstanding coach and a very hockey friendly AD. The only negative at all is the possibility of getting to Anchorage and having a 3 or 4 hour layover for the connecting flight to Fairbanks. Other than the travel, the Fairbanks experience is a very positive one. Maybe you can have MOIT meet him at the airport and take him out for a jet fueled bonfire!
