Grimaldi is still coming in, so I don't know what you are talking about.

Biggs and Murphy were 1 and 1a, but because Murphy seems like a tool I'm making Biggs #1. I'm not bitter. Not one bit.

I don't think there is any doubt that the incoming 2011 Recruiting Class will be ranked #1 now that both Miami & UND lost their top recruit to major juniors.

Both 2012 & 2013 look awesome so far.
I'm loving your most recent posts DG!!! 2 quick questions:

Where can we find out more info on these recruits, your blog?
Who bailed on ND and Miami?

Context would suggest this his ND refered to UND- was more just responding to his question. Sorry

nothing to be sorry about... we didn't need those 2 recruits anyhow.

The Redline Report ranked DU's recruiting class #3 behind North Dakota & Miami. DU usually doesn't do that well in the Redline rankings, which assess the NHL potential of the recruits down the road. That being said, after the rankings came out 1st round picks #15 (NYR) JT Miller went major juniors instead of NCAA & Miami's #20 (PHX-WIN) Connor Murphy did the same thing.

That would be like DU losing either Joe Colborne, Beau Bennett or Scott Mayfield. Its a big loss for your recruiting class and should propel DU to #1 in the INCH recruiting rankings.

It would be just like that if any of those 3 were as good as Miller or Murphy...

No worries on the UND front. Miller was not the top recruit for UND. Last year while playing on the same line for the USNDPT, Miller scored 15 goals...Grimaldi scored 39. IMO, Grimaldi is the top incoming recruit in the NCAA and I expect him to have a Zucker-like year for the Sioux. Not to mention two other top notch incoming forwards in MacMillan and O'Donnell along with dman Mattson. It won't be a big deal if DU gets the nod for #1, as they have a very good incoming class. UND's class is going to be very good as well...regardless of Miller's decision.

This sounds familiar I know, but please wish your fellow DU fan and Captain of his summer lively hood luck as Irene approaches. The boat is secure but not hauled, taking a chance here that the cold waters of Maine will help weaken the storm. Tense times around here!! Oh, and go DU!!!!!
