Davison looked good, setup some great goals. Reminded me of what Zengerle is doing this year with some great hands. His brother (I'm assuming) looked pretty solid too.

davison makes good passes and has good vision. I think he is going to have problems in front of the net and in the corners, he is pretty small. I guess a year in the ushl will tell a lot about how he handles those areas of his game.

If you're watching the Minnesota State Tournament this week, little freshman Tom Novak for St. Thomas Academy is from River Falls, Wisconsin. He's a nice little player. 2 points already in the first period of the opener. Played for Team Wisconsin U14 before the season. He's a 97 birthdate.

Grant Besse will be on TV tonight as his Benilde-St. Margaret's team plays it's quarterfinal game in the AA State Tournament vs Edina. Game can be seen locally on tv or on prep45.com for free. Check out Besse #12 if you're interested tonight, he's a solid recruit for Wisconsin.

            Solid enough for a 3 point game (1 G, 2 A) against the Hornets!

Interesting thing is that out of all the times I've seen him play, he probably had his worst game last night.

2014 UW recruit Grant Besse had an 8 goal, 11 point state tourney. Scored all five goals in a 5-1 win over Hill Murray tonight to capture the Minnesota AA State Title. 3 of his 5 goals tonight were short handed.

18 pts in 6 playoff games. 93 points (52G) in 31 total games this season.

All while playing in the toughest conference (and toughest section) in MNHS hockey. Amazing season.

Dany Heatley on Grant Besse.--"Big night last night. Happy for him first of all. Glad to see him going to a great school like Wisconsin."

Toughest conference? BSM is leaving their conference next season because it is so weak.

It was amazing last night at the X. I haven't seen anything like it since Spehar's 3 straight hat tricks. The folks behind me were ******ing and calling him for being a traitor for going to WI. I loved it!

Tim Davison will finish his season with Chicago in the USHL. Should get in about six games with the Steel.

Meant Section. Section 6. You're right, conference isn't that tough. BSM played 26th hardest schedule. But section mates EP had the toughest, Wayzata had 3rd toughest, and Minnetonka 4th toughest.

That's because those other three are in the Lake Conference.

BSM's conference is horrid. They only lost 4 games in seven YEARS in that conference. Smart move to bail as it wasn't doing anything for players other than pad their numbers.

BSM actually had a pretty smooth ride in the playoffs. They didn't have to play anybody tough in sections until the final against Tonka. Then they get to state and beat a young but talented 4 seed in Edina, a "one man show" in Lakeville South, and another unseeded team in Hill Murray.

Yeah, they did get pretty lucky missing EP in sections and Duluth East at state. They did, however, beat Minnetonka to get to state and Edina in the semi-finals. I was hoping to see them play East in the championship.
