Justin Kovacs who was heavily recruited by several CCHA teams and also a couple of WCHA teams....chose Cronin and Hockey East...not necessarily NU above the coaching. Now it is likely that he will catch on with a top-20 team DEPENDING on the Coaching. He was also heavily recruited by New Hampshire although will likely join a CCHA team now.

Is UNH back on his and his parents' radar? It's understandable that he would be comfortable staying in the midwest. His assist numbers with Cedar Rapids were very impressive. Pure, playmaking centers who would rather be there than on a wing can be hard to come by.

Justin wanted NU because of the coachs involved! Now it is not to be.

Since you know the family so well, please pass this thought along to them: IMO there is a better than even chance that Sebastien willl be retained as well as at least one other individual that he will recognize. Why don't you can suggest that he wait a couple of weeks before committing to another program. What does he have to lose? Anyone else who really wants him for next year can wait that long.

agreed, based upon his recent actions he sure sounds like an "all about the team guy"

Another good recruit lost. I know the Kovacs family very well...and thought this might happen. They are very directed towards good coaching...and were very pro-Cronin, LaPlante and O'Connell! And Skins-Fan....you don't really know what you are talking about...

What in the world are you talking about? It's an expression. I'm disappointed over every recruit that leaves. You'd think some people had never been around the Web before. I know exactly what I'm talking about.

Forgot to post this earlier this week, but I saw Oleksiak hanging out in the quad getting some sun with a friend. Obviously doesn't mean anything significant, but it is good to see that he is there and enjoying himself.
