For anyone interested, the hockey banquet will be held Saturday April 16, 2011 starting at 5:00 pm in the University Club at the TD Bank Sports Center. If you'd like to attend, send me an email through my profile and I can give you all the details. It's really a great evening and a chance to see the team in a totally different setting than we're used to. Not to mention the food isn't that bad either.

If we can get 8-10 people we can have our own QU USCHO table!

Haven't found anything to verify this but someone posted elsewhere on USCHO that Zach Hansen signed with Wheeling of the ECHL. Congrats Zach!

We note that your guys are going to return the favor and play in our barn next season. You scared Coach Blais so bad this season that he's decided not to show up when you come, though, and do something else:

The ECHL transaction list does have Hansen listed but unclickable. Good for him. Think they're desperate.

It's listed at INCH so it must be true!

Our rink is getting a new name: the High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center. It's a $1 million sponsorship deal announced this week. The deal runs for the next 5 years.

The company is from Sparta,NJ. The same place incoming 2012 goalie John Nauta hails from. Coincidence? I think not. Either way I'll take it.

The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. My gosh I don't know what to say............our rink was built in 1951 and named after an alum, Judge Charles W. Appleton, class of 1897. Our barn is named after the same person for 60 years and T D Bank after a few years gets pushed aside for a million clams from some rich kids dad (it sounds like). I guess you will take it Wonger. A million bucks.......however I can no longer meet you guys at the Bank!!!! You'll have to come up with a new nickname. I suppose the High Point Solutions Arena is better than the Low Point Quandry Arena.

                    I'm jealous.

I'm not sure I can jump on this conspiracy bandwagon with you fellas! My guess is it's just a business deal, and that makes me wonder what exactly that money gets used for? If they're taking suggestions, an HD video scoreboard and barstools would be at the top of my list.

I can no longer meet you guys at the Bank!!!!
Technically, since you usually get met at the door, it'll still be the Bank.

Canadian Flag would be nice. As for the goal horn, not being able to hear it means you have a good crowd. I can hear it over the radio when we play.
