YOu are correct JC. Not enough games and traded to LA prior to the Avs second cup:

"Miller spent parts of eight seasons with Quebec-Colorado but never won a Stanley Cup. He was with the Avalanche in 1995-96 but didn’t play enough games during the regular season to qualify and did not appear in the playoffs. The Avs won it again in 2000-01, but he was traded after playing 56 games to Los Angeles."

"After 56 games with the Avalanche during the 2000–01 season, where he had 13 points, Miller was traded for the second time in his career. On February 21, 2001 Miller was sent to the Los Angeles Kings by the Colorado Avalanche with Adam Deadmarsh, a player later to be named (Jared Aulin, who would be traded on March 22, 2001) and Colorado's 1st round choices in the 2001 (Dave Steckel) and 2003 (Brian Boyle) Entry Drafts for Rob Blake and Steven Reinprecht.[9] Miller was not originally meant to be traded, but the Kings insisted he be part of the deal.[4]"

Congrats again Timmy. May UVM's highly touted incoming class be just as good or better than the freshman class of 1993.

UVM's non-conference schedule has been filled out. Any word regarding the league schedule?

Not that I am aware of, and the past few seasons UVM has been very late in releasing it's schedule.

Michael Paliotta was picked in the 3rd round of the draft, 70th overall to Chicago. Possibly joining Sharp and Stalberg.....4 years from now

Good to hear, that is a pretty high pick, he has a lot of potential. He and Brickley, and Girgensons if he can matriculate this fall academically, will make them a better team than last year- plus they have some other interesting players coming in also

Looks like he wants to play for the Blackhawks within the next few years...hoping he'll stay with the Cats for at least two:

“It’s a big step,” Paliotta said of developing into an NHL player. “Hopefully within the next two or three years I can make that step. I hope to be a Blackhawk soon.”

It looks like Zemgus Girgensons will not be playing for UVM this fall, he is now scheduled to arrive for the 2012-2013 season:

                    http://blogs.burlingtonfreepress.com...delays-a-year/

The forward, a native of Latvia, was originally scheduled to attend UVM in 2012. H then tried to complete an accelerated academic course to become a Catamount a year early, but jamming two-plus years of school into one was a little too much, especially in two languages.
He is projected to be a first rounder in some very early 2012 draft rankings that have come out recently.

A little while back the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL drafted Zemgus Girgensons with their first selection (45th overall), they are trying to recruit him, so let's hope he sticks to the college route and not Major Junior.

Bummer about Girgensons not matriculating this year. His numbers were not as good with Dubique this year as we might have expected for a projected first round NHL draft pick so another year with Dubique is probably not a bad thing. However, on the flip side, I would have rather had him an extra year. You have to figure if he had arrived this fall he would have played at least two years and possibly a third year. Now it becomes more likely that he will be one and done, or two best case before moving on - if he performs to early NHL draft prognostications.

He would have been a top 3 forward most likely so this hurts the 2011/2012 season and reduces forward depth a bit. Hopefully the balance of the freshman class and some improvement across the roster will create some more offense and better team D this coming season. go cats

Why can't some of this go toward a new rink?
