Coming in at #34 is RIT. The Tigers came into D-1 with a roar. Since joining Atlantic Hockey they have yet to have a losing season. Their history at D-1 is short, but strong. RIT is looking at potentially grabbing another conference title, and perhaps a second NCAA Appearance this season. Their first, and so far only, NCAA appearance was quite memorable for RIT. They upset top seed Denver, and then beat New Hampshire on their way to the Frozen Four. If they continue having NCAA success like that, they'll be rising up this list quickly. For now, they sit at #34.

    #34 RIT - 8.1655 Points
    #35 Ferris State - 7.8912 Points
    #36 UMass Lowell - 7.1081 Points

Do you really think that the educated opinion (granted, pretty well researched and thought out opinion) of a internet poster will change said person's opinion *that* much?

I'd be suprised if they put that much into what we type. For sure < sports writers, and we know how we feel about them....

Bemidji State comes in at #33. Before there was RIT's magical run to the Frozen Four, there was Bemidji's run in 2009. The Beavers upset Notre Dame and Cornell before falling to Miami at the Frozen Four. The Beavers were very strong in the CHA, making 4 NCAA tournaments in their time in that conference. BSU has set themselves up for greater challenges, but greater stability by moving to the WCHA. While Bemidji has struggled in their first season, if they can get back to their winning ways they will make more NCAA Tournaments and potentially more Frozen Fours.

              #33 Bemidji State - 11.4454 Points
              #34 RIT - 8.1655 Points

St. Cloud State comes in at #32. They are the highest ranked program that has yet to have been to a Frozen Four. While they struggled with getting their first NCAA win, the Huskies are quite successful for a relatively young program. In less than 25 years at the D-1 level (not counting pre-WWII), the Huskies have averaged going to the NCAA Tournament about once every three years. They have made the Quarterfinals twice, in 2001 and last year. While this season had better promise, the Huskies are a program that has what it takes to get to that elusive Frozen Four, and eventually win a National Championship. If and when they do that, expect SCSU to move up this list. For now, they rank #32.

                  #32 St. Cloud State - 12.4129 Points

I suspect that winning this year's regular season title will help there. Getting the NCAA bid will be challenging as there are several tough challengers to the crown.

Sometimes, it's hard to tell. Especially when there's that much ring of truth. (I can see fans being afraid of someone staying, for sure. That afraid)

Also, I misbespoke. It was a case of facetia or tongue-in-cheek rather than sarcasm. :^) or should have been served up with my request.

Thank you. I am an optimist I suppose. It's true though...you stand a better chance at improving your standing if you win more often than not.
