Next week 9/10/11, the NHL prospects camp at Traverse City opens up. Alan York will be one of the participants.

The Blue Jackets are not very deep in the goaltender department, a good showing could elevate York to the next level.

for those that get MSG, next Saturday(Sept.10) at 7pm, the NY Rangers play the St.Louis Blues (Chase Polacek) in the Traverse City Prospects Tournament
Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

a positive or a negative that Brandon Pirri is not on the roster for their Traverse City games http://blackhawks.nhl.com/v2/ext/CHI...mentRoster.pdf would've been nice when they go against the Maple Leafs with JD'A http://www.marlies.ca/news/News.asp?story_id=1808

It could be a positive for him since none of the forwards listed played a full season at Rockford last year.

from Julie Robenhymer Chase Polachek - St Louis - Seth Appert, head coach at RPI, wanted to change the culture at RPI. "He came from Denver where they won two national championships and we just needed to buy into what he was selling. Good thing was that it was easy to buy into his plan and even easier once we started to see results from it and now with the new facilities it's only going to get better as we're able to attract better recruits." He's looking to take everything Appert taught him and apply it to his first professional experience this week. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Julie...y-One/99/38018

The best part of this quote, is that Chase still thinks of himself as an Engineer. "we're able to attract better recruits".
If Appert can instill that attitude in his players, it will create a tradition that will last forever.

St. Louis should be playing Columbus for 3rd place in the Traverse City Tourn. Wednesday. Chase hasn't played the last 2 games (injured?). Yorkie played in Columbus' 1st game followed by their other 2 goalies in the next 2 games so maybe Yorkie gets the call in this game.

I watched the game on Saturday, and if Chase was injured it wasn't obvious. He's listed on the score sheet as having 2 SOG, though I thought I saw three. He got a lot more ice time than when he first joined the team in April, but he was on their fourth line, and it seemed as if he still was having a bit of trouble adjusting to wing. I think they just don't realize his potential. Hopefully he gets put in today! He is listed on the Blues training camp roster though.

from the pregame notes it looks like Chase will be going against York. I agree with your assessment that he looks "off" at wing. http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/...gameid=1707819
