NorthernBlight, here's your answer. According to Joe's math (which appears to be more current than the information USCHO), Plattsburgh currently beats Plymouth in Winning Percentage AND all Strength of Schedule data. There is no H2H to compare, so that's a wash. I'm fairly certain Plattsburgh wins on Common Opponents, as there are not many. And no teams are officially ranked (by the NCAA) yet, so RWP is a wash. Tell me again how Plymouth should be ranked higher than Plattsburgh?

Rankings should reflect how a matchup looks on paper (and I'm fully aware that actual events rarely occur the way they should on paper). On paper, Plattsburgh should be more likely to win in a hypothetical matchup with Plymouth State. Therefore, the higher ranking.

EDIT: And before anybody whines that Plymouth State has played more than the 13 games here, I'll point out that Joe wisely left out the data regarding DII teams, because the NCAA dictates that those game are meaningless in terms of ranking, and playoff seeding.

Won't have to update any more. USCHO has updated the PWC table to reflect SoS.
