Looks like he played 55 games in the CJHL in '09-'10, scoring 11 points. In 10 games for Stanstead College he has 4-9-13 in 10 games. Stanstead plays in the Midwest Prep Hockey League, spanning the US and Canada.
Actually, Gareau is 23-26-49 in 41 games for Stanstead this season and is a +20.

Gareau had himself quite a tournament a few weeks ago when Stanstead won the Northwood Invitational championship. He had the game winning goal in Stanstead's 3-2 championship game win over the California Stars. He also had the game winning goal in Stanstead's 2-1 semi-final win over the Hill Prep which features 3 Maine recruits (Lomberg, Shore, Renouf).

I believe those are his overall stats from two leagues. Check this link to see his performance in the Midwest Prep Hockey League Northeast Division while attending Stanstead.

He's not coming. He sat on Chris' list for almost a year and has been taken down. 'According to a reliable source, he is no longer planning to attend'

And for the record, Flynn showed up on Heisenberg's list after his verbal despite not being recruited on scholarship. I'm sure he's earned some form of scholarship these days.

Diego thanks for posting. Let's hope that Gareau, Lomberg, Shore and Renouf are indeed as advertised and end up on the Orono campus in the next 2 and 3 years. It seems that Tim and Kerluke are investing part of the future on landing some kids from Ontario. Not a bad strategy unless they go the route of Ashley and others into Major Junior.

In the meantime I am more concerned with how we replace House, Nyquist, and Dee's production? Higgins and Leen are not going to do it, and a top 6 of Flynn, Diamond, Abbott, Beattie, Mangene and ? is a concern. Maine needs to land either Saponari, or someone from Sweden or someplace else who can make an impact next year, or else we will be battling for 6th and not home ice next year! And this comes from an optimist and a person who has supported Tim in the past. I was hopeful Corkum would be an impact player, but fear he never will be the player he could have been. I like Swavely, Anthoine, and Amestoy, but none of them are going to be 30 point performers next year. Beattie is the most likely to make that jump and Mangene can likely get in the mid 20's. One of the biggest problems we have had this year (aside from goaltending) is not getting enough production from the 3rd and 4th lines.

Based upon who is committed for next year we are likely to bring in 2 more forwards and one more d-man, but once again it is late in the game to get an impact player, or to get lucky with someone like a Flynn.

Correction. This year he is playing in the New England Prep Division. His team plays today at 5:30 in a tournament game against Avon Old Farms.

Looks like as a 16 year old, he was invited to look at BC, BU, UNH, Harvard, etc...and he had some good acknowledgements. Any info on how things progressed and why he didn't committ to a school until now?? And how he's been doing since?

Andrew Cerretani was selected to the All Hockey Team in 2009 - 2010 by coaches in the Independent School League. Yesterday, Lawrence Academy defeated Old Avon Farms from Ct. in the quarter final (2-1) and will now move to the semi-final in Salem, New Hampshire tomorrow. Andrew is from Pelham, New Hampshire.

Kevin Potter is Andrew Ceretani's coach at Lawrence Academy. He has extensive Maine connections. He is a Bowdoin College graduate and coached boys varsity hockey for 13 years at North Yarmouth Academy followed by a stint at Kents Hill. I thought it was interesting info.

His older brother currently plays there as well. Someone on the UML recruiting thread said that he/she didn't think Lowell tried with this kid, which to me is astounding.
