Points in a season goes to David Lair of Oswego in 1983...111 on 48 goals, 63 assists.
Career goes to Joey Ferras of Plattsburgh...359 on 125 goals, 234 assists....This one is a record for all divisions.

It's too bad Phil Latreille only got to play 85 games to Ferras' 143.

Latreille in 85 games - 250 goals and 96 assists for 346 points

Latreille averaged 4 points per game to Ferras' 2.5.

Not saying I disagree with all the modern regulations (for example, I fully support full face masks), nevertheless, a head-to-head points per game comparison for a player from 1958-61 versus one from 1984-88 can not be taken at face value (particularly among NCAA players).

There's no doubt it's a different game. But it's also a different game from the 80's to now.

Still 80 goals in 25 games? are you ******* me? that's unreal.

It is all about the size of frogs and the ponds they live in. Phil Latreille is among the players from current DIII schools to have played in the NHL, that is cool.

Unreal? - This guy getting THREE assists in an NHL game is unreal.

And you absolutely right, the game of the 1980's compared to today - there isn't much.
