Re: NMU @ BSU Turkey Weekend
Well, I had to miss the trip to Marquette last year - this go 'round I've got nothing keeping me from both games. I haven't seen NMU live and in person since 2002, Kyle's first year.
It will be interesting to see what attendance looks like this weekend, with no students around.Current NCAA D-I rinks I've been to:
AHA:
B1G: UMich, MSU, UMinn, Notre Dame, OSU, UWisc
CCHA: BSU, BG, FSU, LSSU, MSU, MTU, NMU
ECAC:
HEA: UMass
NCHC: Miami, UMD, UND, SCSU, WMU
Independant: ASU
Inactive: UAH, ASU, BSU, UMD, UND, NMU, Notre Dame

They take the feed from Lakeland PTV, so it's got good production quality with replays and coaches interviews, etc.Current NCAA D-I rinks I've been to:

You do realize that 5 of BSU's 7 losses have come against the current top three teams in the WCHA, right? That BSU has a tie vs. the top team, and could have easily "split" that weekend with another 7 seconds? And that means that BSU hasn't played most of the "bottom half" yet, outside UAA...

Instead of saying "shut 'er down," I should have said "lower expectations."
They should know it takes a full 60 minutes or 65 minutes every night. They've let leads slip away against the top teams of the WCHA (and St. Cloud and AA). They've also not played "Beaver hockey" a few nights too (i.e Friday vs UAA) and taken some bad penalties and key turn-overs, some due to getting caught out of position and some due to being out-skilled.
OK, rant over. I hope the second and third line can get some points this weekend, too.Fear the Green

NCAA rules dictate you cannot leave for your regular season games more than 48 hours in advance from the start time of the scheduled meet (trips to Alaska and Hawaii are exempt from this rule).“Demolish the bridges behind you… then there is no choice but to build again.”
