  • Atlantic Hockey skating circles around Yale.

Yale loses our respect with a loss to Air Force. How can the top team lose like that?

The reason for the talent in the west? Because MN didn't rely on Canada.

When you play Air Force, you never let up. Time and time again, teams underestimate the Falcons. Air Force clearly outplayed Yale in the 3rd.

Air Force also has a very young team...always changing the lines up. They are getting better as the season goes on.

      1) 2nd hard game in as many nights for Yale. At altitude.
      2) Up 3 goals in the 3rd, they were bound to let up a little.
      3) AF got a great (lucky) bounce on a behind-the-goalline shot.
      4) Torf might be the second coming of Andrew Volkening.
      5) The Cadet Ice Arena is a tough place to play AF. Ask DU, CC, RIT, Bemidji, etc.
      6) The teams weren't that far apart to being with. AF lost by a goal at Yale last time they played.

Still, great win for the Falcons. Too bad it doesn't count in the AHA standings.

How can a top team lose to a team that can't even consistently beat AIC? I realize the second game between AFA and AIC was a shellacking, but seriously...

Really? AIC has beaten Air Force ONCE in 4+ years in Atlantic Hockey. That's not consistent enough for you?

How can people post about Atlantic Hockey that don't even follow the league?

I believe AFA is something like 20-1-1 all time against AIC.
