I really liked the game we played last night. Wespent a lot of time in the offensive zone, we carried the play for long periods at a time, and we played excellent defense.
Now someone has got to find the back of the net. I don't know the exact shot count, but it must have been over 30 for us, and only one (if you don't count the disallowed goal) went in.
As they say, as long as we are getting chances, the goals will start coming.
York was outstanding, too bad we couldn't supply some support.
We played good enough to win last night, so lets give it the same effort tonight.

Colorado College looked good last night. The ONLY thing that kept RPI in the game was the penalty fest that was called. RPI was lucky not to recieve a few game misconduct's for some questionable hits that were only given 2 minutes for checking from behind.

We can all be in agreement, the WCHA officals are awful. The linesmen looked lost the whole night.

As for the crowd, seeing a crowd of 6,188 for a game against a non-WCHA opponet was great! Having the CC student section almost full for homecoming was good for a change.

...and how about the Schwartz brothers!?! Even the relentless clutching, holding, and slashing from RPI couldn't stop them. It's only fitting that Jaden got the first goal of the season.

2) Gabe Guentzel: 2 assists and a monsterous hit

1) Joe Howe: He was strong in net again and made some ridiculous saves.

I know the UNB game was an exhibition-but after 6 periods of hockey we have 2 goals-both by defensemen. We need to see the forwards find the net. Coach SA says we have to score by committee-well let's get the committee formed now! Impresses so far that our defense does not look like we have so many new young players. That part of our game only looks to get better. We hae got to stay out of the box-we just are asking for trouble with all those 5 on 3 situations. Just my 2¢

RPI's performances so far this week have helped to demonstrate the truth of the hockey adage that it's tough to win when you only score one goal.

Here's what I'd like to see them do tonight:

A. Put the puck in the net.

B. Do it again.

C. Repeat A and B often enough that a disallowed goal or two won't make a difference in the outcome.
