If the report is true, it's kind of funny. I tend to doubt that RPI still has an interest in him.

Is it possible that BC has more difficult admission standards than RPI?

The BC fans encountered at the Frozen Four last year make me pray that this is not possible.

It's hard to believe that there is much of an overlap between students who apply to the two schools.

On Thursday, the Cornwall Colts defeated the Hawkesbury Hawks 2-0. Jacob Laliberté had a goal, an assist, and a goalie interference penalty. (That's probably as close to a Gordie Howe hat trick as JL will get.) He was named #2 star. http://pointstreak.com/prostats/boxs...gameid=1318718

            Laliberté's line is now 28-23-25-48-10.

And the number 1 star? probably the goalie who pitched the shutout. At least JL involved in 100% of the scoring.

The Real Deal is going to fit in nicely in Troy with JL. We are going to have to worry a little less about offense for the next few years.

You win. He did stop all 34 shots.

You dont think RPI would still try to get him in, if the story is true? We were one of the final five schools trying to get him before (UNH, UVM, NU, RPI and of course BC). He's also tied for second in USHL scoring right now, thats alot of extra offense to pass up on that we might need next season. Although scholarship money might be running low with all the recent additions RPI has added in the last month and half.

I could be wrong of course. It was just a feeling that we have moved in other directions. Also, at this point, Saponari will probably either go to Major Junior or pro.

I had this thought in my mind as well. Being a '90 wouldnt this season be his last chance to play major junior? Im not sure of the age limits in the CHL. He is Thrashers property so signing a pro deal seems likely as well.

Yes, it is his last year of junior eligibility in either Tier i or Tier II. I guess that there isn't much sense to leave Dubuque.
